I’m expecting a major push - as in enforced/mandatory - return to office. They tried a “soft” launch like 1.5 years ago but no one complied.

I’ve been working from home since like 2018. Last year I went to the office like 3 times. I don’t know how I’m going to go back to that commuting to the office life

Maaaan the traffic at the capital one building is insane now that they are back. Dude said if you try to leave between 4:30 and 5:15 it takes 25 minutes to exit the parking garage.

I still fulfilled my work responsibilities and more though

Forgot to update the thread - team day on the 23rd went without any fukkery they just wanted to spend time together/bond and do team activities (games and award shows and shyt )

Still in the crib - logged on at 8:00am went back to sleep and got up at 10:15am checked emails - nothing that needs actioning - booted the PS5 did my dailies on Genshin Impact - watched the new Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man episode - now I’m putting my sneakers on and ready to jump on the treadmill for a run

At my old job, I had rock solid proof that we were way more productive working from home. I ran an internal call center and had the numbers that showed that even though our call volume had jumped about 25%, we were answering 10% more of the calls than previously (went from answering 88% of calls to 98%). My team worked in different locations across the country so it wasn't like we collaborated in person anyway.

Didn't matter. They made us start going back in, starting on a hybrid basis. My company ended up getting bought by another company, so I got a buyout and found another remote job.

Once in a while I do go in for something or another. Last time the people next to me spent a solid hour discussing the God damn weather without doing a shred of work.

Yeah, as a multi-tasker myself working from home makes me way more productive. I generally can't throw on an action movie I haven't seen before but otherwise putting a movie or show on keeps me engaged in work.
