I've been wearing either sweats or shorts since March and had to finally put on a pair of jeans the other day for the first time in forever. :sadbron:
I used to have to take the 6:48am train

:wow:

My garden got so much more attention this summer. I got so much stuff done around the house. I’m saving money on commuting, so I’ve been ordering lunch, including $18 sushi rolls. Sometimes I work in bed.

I rarely have to iron clothes.

I can take afternoon naps as long as my email alerts are on to wake me up.

I can’t wait until it starts snowing, just so I can enjoy not cleaning off my car.

:ohlawd:
They had the audacity to ask if I wanted to come back to the office for three days.

:picard:

:hhh:

Unless the other option is getting fired, I’m NEVER going back.

:blessed:

:dead:

That said, I feel you breh.

My dandeloins and daffodils were smackin' this summer :banderas:

Been teaching online, even moved away from the university so at this point I hope college campuses at least stay hybrid. I can teach online and double up and teach k-12 also and tutor all remotely :banderas:

Idk what I’ll do if they try to make us move back.

That's the key, some IT jobs have you just maintaining something that you or someone else already set up.

As long as you can keep that software, website, server, infrastructure...whatever going and updated, you're golden.

Unfortunately, a lot of the work from home people may possibly get laid off.. :francis:

Or possible dealing with the prospect of dealing with a permanent paycut or else. A lot of companies aren’t going to keep paying employees the same wages if they are not traveling into the office.

only took about 10 posts before something negative was posted....

you nikkas are slipping

How do you prevent your status from showing away? :ninja1:

There's a trick where you put your infrared mouse on top of a watch with a clear flat face or something else that's constantly moving. You could also just install a program that moves your mouse intermittently if you have admin rights.

I landed my job with turbo tax last July and thought I would be transitioning to a unicorn remote job in February before Covid was even a thing. A breh was looking at moving abroad and shyt. Then everyone and their mom started working from home and my plan of working out of a cafe a couple times a week got shot down like a fkn zeppelin :mjcry:

It’s been a dream working remote though in a stable company with a stable career in a job I’m one of the best at :mjcry:
How you like turbo tax breh? They pay well, do you gotta be a cpa?

I’m a recruiter for them, if you have tax experience and you’re not a cpa we can still talk.

Working for them has been a real dream come true. They rescued your boy from some dark times in his career :mjcry:

I make really good bread, just under $70k enough to feed my wife and two babies well while she finishes her masters in bio
