I used to have to take the 6:48am train
My garden got so much more attention this summer. I got so much stuff done around the house. I’m saving money on commuting, so I’ve been ordering lunch, including $18 sushi rolls. Sometimes I work in bed.
I rarely have to iron clothes.
I can take afternoon naps as long as my email alerts are on to wake me up.
I can’t wait until it starts snowing, just so I can enjoy not cleaning off my car.
They had the audacity to ask if I wanted to come back to the office for three days.
Unless the other option is getting fired, I’m NEVER going back.

Unfortunately, a lot of the work from home people may possibly get laid off..
Or possible dealing with the prospect of dealing with a permanent paycut or else. A lot of companies aren’t going to keep paying employees the same wages if they are not traveling into the office.
How do you prevent your status from showing away?
How you like turbo tax breh? They pay well, do you gotta be a cpa?I landed my job with turbo tax last July and thought I would be transitioning to a unicorn remote job in February before Covid was even a thing. A breh was looking at moving abroad and shyt. Then everyone and their mom started working from home and my plan of working out of a cafe a couple times a week got shot down like a fkn zeppelin
It’s been a dream working remote though in a stable company with a stable career in a job I’m one of the best at
