nikkas going into particulars :laff:

superman wieghed 150 in the comicsssss his eyebrows weren't arched like that

Yeah....I'm just saying though. I'm one of the biggest comic nerds but the actors height, weight, race don't bother me too much as long as they get the feel of the characters right. I mean Micheal Keaton was not Batman "material" if you go by the comics.....but he played the part pretty good and not too many people were concerned about his height or lack of muscle once they watched the full movie.

Tom Cruise tends to look like a normal size grown man instead of a midget in all of his movies so I am sure that Cavill will look more than tall enough as Superman and it won't have any effect on his performance.
funny enough I was just goin 2 mention him.Last samurai is the best example I can use cruise took a huge hit stature/boss wise (as a protagonist) once ken watabe appeared. And u know why? Because everytime they were facing the asian made him look like he was still in school.

@Christopher browns u are talkin about "nolan's" batman which played by its own rules.Different conversation all together @skilltastophy don't be so sure with nolan as the producer (and by the trailers) they might try eliminate a lot of supermans abilities to make him more relatable

Feel bad for the police if they ever need you to list someone's height. Judging from the angle of the photo and using the background as a reference, they're about the same height

My point is I don't think height is a barrier to playing Superman. Just wanted to make the point known that Hollywood lies about everything. So for the nikkas arguing about height being a requirement for the role...you're arguing about a made up number.

I'm 6'1". A real 6'1". But if I was in Hollywood I'd be about 6'4" and would probably look even taller on screen if they wanted me too.

Jason Statham is a perfect example. He's listed at 5'10". I've personally hung out and chilled with the dude out in LA....Statham is lucky if he cracks 5'5".
Straight up. That's no exaggeration. My girl at the time was 5'2" and in her heels she was taller than he was.

When I stood up to introduce myself I was on some  I literally towered over the guy I've seen kicking ass on film for the last 15 years.

I know it's not that big of a deal. Statham looks like he's of average height on screen. Same with Tom Cruise who is reportedly closer to 5'5".

Hans Zimmer Talks Scoring Man of Steel | Superhero Hype

It came as a surprise to many last year when composer Hans Zimmer announced he would be providing the score for Warner Bros.' upcoming Superman reboot, Man of Steel. Zimmer originally refused the job after saying that following in the footsteps of John Williams would be like "rewriting Beethoven’s ninth," but he came around eventually after some nudging from The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan. CNN spoke with the composer about working on the film and crafting a sound that could follow Williams' iconic score.

"Look, that was daunting," Zimmer confessed. "Seriously. He's the greatest film composer out there, without a doubt, and it happens to be one of his iconic pieces of music, so I spent three months just procrastinating and not even getting a start on the thing, because I was so intimidated: 'Oh my God, I'm following in John Williams' footsteps.'"

When he first denied the position, Zimmer claimed he didn't know how to give a "proper voice" to the music, but it would appear aftering mediating on the story of the film, he's found it.

"I kept thinking of the story as, What if you are extraordinary, and your entire ambition is to join humanity? To become human? What does it mean to become human? What does it mean to be an outsider who really wants to join the human race?"

"Everything's tinged with irony and sarcasm and bitterness and darkness these days," he said. But this he says is "celebrating everything that was good and fine about America," such as small towns "where people don't lock their doors, neighbors get together, and families are families."

Zimmer also says the setting of the film was an influence on how it was made and how he composed its theme.

"What was important for Superman was the simple fact that none of us pay much attention to the Midwest. I know America mainly by the big cities, but if you go into the Midwest, there is a people there and there is a country there. And I thought it was important that the decent folk, simple folk be the heart of the story, and a character who is guileless, who isn't complicated in the sort of flawed way our Dark Knight is, and isn't political in any way. He's just striving to become a better part of humanity."

Zimmer's score for Man of Steel will be released on June 11 and can be pre-ordered by clicking here.

In the action adventure, starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, Russell Crowe, Michael Kelly, Harry Lennix and Richard Schiff, a young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind. Man of Steel opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX theaters June 14.

I have a friend who is out in Hollywood now shooting a pilot and he lists himself as 5'11".

Fact of the matter is he's 5'7"-5'8" on a good day.

Actors lie about their heights. It's in their best interest. Same way NBA players do. Dana Barros (former 76'ers/Celtics player), who I know personally, was always listed as 5'11" on official stat sheets but that nikka barely broke 5'7"

And in my opinion if Snyder is actually 5'7", Cavill doesn't look 6'1" in that pic.

Here he is standing next to Luke Evans who's listed at 6'0".

The girl in the picture is listed at 5'6" for some reference. She's not in heels.

He's 5'10"-5'11" all day.

u need glasses, dude is clearly an inch taller then the other dude. He is 6/6'1

hmmm

It's either you bad at lying or arnold is 5'9, stalone n van damme are 5'6 lol

expend_main_1565557a.jpg

He's with a bunch of other dudes at a premiere. He knew pictures were going to be taken. So he put lifts in his shoes. Yall nikkas kill me buying into all of the shyt Hollywood does. 99% of these guys are fake. They wear makeup to party's and premieres for christs sake.

And what reason would I have to lie? I had lunch with Stratham in Hollywood at the pig n whistle. I TOWERED OVER HIM. When I stood up to introduce myself my jaw literally dropped.

Here goes Jason with a 5'6" Ricky Hatton

SNN2407C-SS_659164a.jpg

The boots that boxers wear are flat. Stratham is probably wearing dress shoes that give him an extra inch of height. Just so happens that he's probably not wearing his lifts here.

Or are you going to tell me that Hatton is standing on a milk crate? :heh:

EVERYONE in Hollywood lies about their height.

Like I said ... my boy is shooting a pilot right now and he's listed as 5'11. He barely cracks 5'8" and the producers didn't say shyt about it. He even wears lifts in his shoes sometimes.

My last post on the topic

Here goes Stratham with Rosie his 5'9" girlfriend, even she's probably 5'6"-5'8". The reason being that women lie about their height because 5'9" is usually the minimum that modeling agencies allow. NO ONE IN HOLLYWOOD tells the truth about their height or weight. Just look at her in Transformers with Shia. He claims 5'9" (And WE KNOW that nikkas lying). In heels she's about the same height as he is. http://www.modelsblog.info/content/2010/08/RosieHuntingtonWhiteley-90890.jpg

http://www.celebytchy.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/FFN_Huntington_Statham_SAM_051212_9079080.jpg

Those are flats she's wearing. Don't let the light fool you. Her left leg is in mid stride. If she's 5'9" in flats (again, she's probably lying about that)....what does that make him? Her head is down a little and her shoulders are forward. She has at least 1-2 inches on him. So he's 5'7"-5'8" in this picture IF we're being generous and assuming that she's not lying about HER height.

But the fact is SHE IS LYING about her height. I sat/stood next to this guy for hours. He's lucky if he's 5'7".

I'm done arguing about this though. Ya'll nikkas believe whatever Hollywood tells you.
