The ruling government didn't believe Jor-el when he told them the planet was doomed...Jor-el was in there trying to convince them of that fact when Zod rolled up and starting shooting people.
And that same ruling government didn't believe in the death penalty so they chucked Zod and his crew into the Phantom Zone.
Then when the planet did blow up the explosion broke the Phantom ZOne projector thing and that set Zod free.

I feel like folks who complain about Superman killing and not saving enough people are taking that Superman/Christ shyt too literally.

Movie was certified crack... this was the closest we'll get to a true live action DBZ movie that alone makes it . But really fukk I care about Clark Kent doing day to day shyt for the 1000'd time. I like the spin they put on the story and there was no corny shyt either which is a plus. And the action...good gawd . Zack snyder knows how to bring it fukk the haters

Really abandoning earth for 5 years to look for krypton not like superman really .... Having said that as a big superman fan I liked the movie and rouths performance ... No hate to cavilli the don but Brandon probably makes this even better

That's one of things that irked me about Superman Returns. Dude was gone for 5 years but so was Clark. As soon as Clark comes back Superman is back. They could of done a better job executing that because in the movie just wasn't believable. It was handled better in the Book adaption for Superman Returns, but overall it was weak and lazy storytelling. That shouldn't be the way you trying to reintroduce the character again. MOS sure has it flaws but it's the better way to reintroduce the character to the new generation plus it leaves it open to make things better for the sequels.

Superman Returns - version of Man Of Steel wouldn't have never worked because too much added drama with Lois, Richard and the Kid. Which is why Warner Bros. opted to not move forward with that version of Man of Steel. I do feel sorry for Routh though he looks more like Superman now then he did before since he's older. He definitely has the better height for Superman then Cavill. He just came at the wrong time and was in a bad movie due to Bryan Singer. I think also he would of did a good job in this version of Man of Steel. I didn't like seeing Cavill being shorter then some of soldiers in the movie. They could at least gave him a boot with a heel to make him seem a little taller to be more Superman's height.

idk why singer keeps getting big movies all he wants to do is push his gay agenda through hackey movies . Hes living off the usual suspect cred and two xmen movies that haven't aged that well . I kind of like superman returns more than xmen 1 and most of xmen 2. He seems to find good unsung actors but other than that ehh.. School invasion in xmen 2 and superman flying a kryptonite continent are some great scenes a lot of everything else is

fukk the height... I honestly didn't notice if he was taller or shorter than some damn soldiers. I think it's more important that's he's physically built like Superman and not either in a muscle suit or just a lanky skinny unfit body

No need to act shock or angry that Superman killed someone on cinematic screens

Was supposed to finally see this today, IMAX 3D. The projector was broken. Had to see World War Z instead.
