not really, when the writer wrote the story they werent thinking about race. but when yes when you look at the story and how the media is, yes a black woman would have been ripped apart in the media and talked about how "she was no angel".
the story just happened to inadvertently also speak on how the media handles the distressed white woman, if you want to think about it that deeply

Secondly, i say white supremacy because it shows the benefit of the doubt that white women get even though its obvious they've committed a horrific crime.
