i liked the movie for the most part but the way that wife crazy plot popped up outa nowhere had me like "cmon now bytch, stop trippin."

Movie was beyond dope. And the ending made complete sense in line with the rest of the movie

If you read the book, the ending makes even more sense. Actually the story as a whole.
the movie was great until she came out of hiding..... then it went downhill. Her story had so many fukking holes, no way the cops would just drop that case

You realized all that "hated forever" stuff was just a convenient excuse for him right? The whole movie is about masks and the roles we play in society. Amy is a mask, Nick is a mask and instead of being who they really are, they'd rather play pretend, especially Nick. It's easier to be "Nick Dunne" than to be who he really is, which is something amy pointed out to him. They all like playing these roles and his sister called him out on it as well

I'm not going back and forth on your personal opinion that the movie was trash, but to act like crazy doesn't stay with crazy is neglecting reality. According to the world news, daytime shows, nighttime court dramas and history, these types of couples have existed forever and usually end up staying together. I took this whole movie as a caricature of those types of relationships.
especially since they were both clearly messed up people...she was crazy but he wasn't a good dude so she was completely worse but he was no angel
