They doing this right now with the rise in building of huge apartment buildings.

Our politicians are letting huge corporations with billions to spend build huge apartment buildings for profit. Not homes that the American people can purchase and pass down.. apartments in which you sink your hard earned money into

Stop being useful idiots. You should already understand that corporate greed and inequality in the US are massive issues. Don't wait around for some paid CCP shill to tell you. Don't get played by someone parroting state-approved scripts from a regime that jails labor organizers, censors speech, and runs re-education camps. Western social media platforms are extremely restricted in China, so when you see people like this, making videos like these, understand that they are state-sponsored. This shyt is all over TikTok and every other platform. Don't get pulled in.

As far as this guy, he isn't some truth-teller coming to liberate your mind, he's part of a state machine that exploits workers just like ours does, but without any of the rights to fight back. China's income inequality is just as brutal, especially in rural areas where healthcare is a disaster. Labor rights don't exist. Independent unions are illegal. Try striking and you'll disappear.

He was spittin bars until he said revolution. China really wants us to crash out bad bad.
I mean, he's not wrong there. We need more checks and balances, impose term limits on SC justices, impose maximum age limits on presidential candidates, get money out of politics, increase regulation for corporations, revamp the constitution, impose stricter gun laws, enforce the punishment of misinformation in social media, add more political parties (similar to Germany), move away from capitalism, etc.

Edit: I wouldn't be opposed to punishing Republicans either.

I specifically called this out in the tech layoffs-offs thread a year ago or so and it looks like it’s starting to happen:

Everyone talking about India right now but South America and Southeast Asia are next because all the ABET Engineering programs are now being accredited internationally. Someone in the Electrical Engineering subreddit brought up something similar.

Going to be a complete battle to compete. I don’t even know if State Schools are going to cut it anymore if your school don’t got an internationally-known reputation.

Half of my offshore team are located in either Mexico or Colombia. They’re not technicallly offshore because they are full time employees but they function like offshore where they work on US business. Companies large enough have similar strategies with centers in LATAM, India, and Eastern Europe. I would say LATAM have strong devs especially Colombia. India has stronger data and engineering imo. Culturally LATAM is a lot closer to the us. Most companies probably have quotas to hit like half of the team must be offshore .

Some Engineering director at my company let it slip during a local monthly Happy Hour that he was out interviewing for another role and they told him straight up that the role was to lead the Mexican team that was working on some product.

We had an Engineer from Colombia and Argentina recently but one left due to a better role and the other left to pursue something independently. I agree: both really good at what they did. Plus they’re local time zones.

Yeah we have corruption problems but this motherfukker is from CHINA. They literally have missiles and warheads filled with water because the generals stole the money for rocket fuel.

All we need to do to fix the problem is stop electing dumbasses. 1 Democratic presidential term with Congressional majorities and we're 75% of the way back
I don't really care what's going on in china. I don't live there.

It's like getting fukked in the ass and saying "but at least I have a hairline :umad:" breh, you're still getting fukked. :wtf:

Legit, straight up do anything you can to increase your standing. Strive for high positions at your company or really get familiar with your domain of expertise.

If you have a good job, now would be a good time to go to college and solidify your credentials if you can afford it. Completing a college degree and/or Military service are golden tickets that nobody can take away.

Tough times like this are when the strong and well-accomplished separate from the pack. You can’t stop other people from going to school and companies hiring cheap skilled labor, but you can go to school as well to not fall behind.

Long gone are the days where “being an American” holds a lot of weight on a resume like it was only a decade ago. Literally, around 2015 was the start of the STEM foreign wave and they’ve only got more accredited from then. It’ll be a mistake to think a company won’t favor a Mexican with a Physics, Math or Electrical Engineering degree for an American citizen with a couple years of office experience “looking to change careers”.

Messed up part? These immigrants can get these ABET accredited degrees for free in their country, while it’ll cost the average American $50k-$80k for the same exact degree.

Shif is wack af right now, but that’s the way the cards lined up.
