youre absolutely right. Ive had it easy. but the thing is, I understand & respect this. Im not some mopey suburban kid
Like I said earlier I have goals and ambitions.. existentialism isnt really whats bothering me

Im trying to live life on my own terms... & I feel like I have the right mindset. but apathy is still weighing on me

I mean Im optimistic about the future.. this shyt is a grind though

Essentially, you're complaining and not doing enough about being a complainer who isn't doing enough. That's the shorter answer. Circular logic.

Do it.

Circular reasoning (Latin: circulus in probando, "circle in proving"; also known as paradoxical thinking[1] or circular logic), is a logical fallacy in which "the reasoner begins with what he or she is trying to end up with".[2] The components of a circular argument are often logically valid because if the premises are true, the conclusion must be true. However, the argument is useless because the conclusion is one of the premises. Circular logic cannot prove a conclusion because, if the conclusion is doubted, the premise which leads to it will also be doubted.[3] Begging the question is a form of circular reasoning.[4]
Circular reasoning is often of the form: "A is true because B is true; B is true because A is true." Circularity can be difficult to detect if it involves a longer chain of propositions.

thats pretty clever man. youre right
I just wanted to vent & see if anyone else could relate. Never said I was looking for answers :manny:

I thought putting this kind of stuff into words, and getting different perspectives on it might help me get my head straight & refocus my energy.

Also its always good to open up conversations

:salute: people have been dropping some well thought ideas and advice here.

Listen, I know it's hard to get out of this kind of thinking, but you have to try to apply yourself to physically do something. Try do do or learn something new everyday, no matter how small it might seem. I try to go to the gym regularly, try to read some books ever now and then. Also try out new things (try dance class or some painting class, whatever) and meet new people, (I know easier said than done), try to stay positive be kind to other people no matter how insignificant it might seem. Hold the door open for someone, just some small talk with a stranger whatever. Set up some goals, try to save up money to travel to new places.

I think most of us have had this kind of thoughts some point in our life and contrary to what you think your still young and I was about your age when I had these thoughts. And I meet people who are pushing 30 who are now feeling the same.

Apathy is definitely the worst, you can have all the potential in the world, but if you don't have any drive then it doesn't mean shyttt
