Not sure why anybody would be surprised at this.
White people as a general rule don't like black people and especially hate when a black person gets a job/role that typically goes to a white person (even something as trivial as a mall Santa). These last couple years and this election especially should've made that crystal clear. It is what it is, I don't see why anybody would expect different behavior at this point.
