Staying Positive, Getting Better Everyday. Holler!
Nice thread, I was looking for a registry of books read by Malcolm the other day ago.
his speech from 1962 in LA is probably my favorite one from him
Well its an insult to our intelligence.
fukk out my mentions bytch. It was a question so I asked.Well its an insult to our intelligence.
You come into this thread knowing what it is and isn't about, and then you ask an insignificant question based off of information that you got that was geared towards his defamation.
If you know Malcolm by his words then you'd know that he always spoke about those who try to lie against others.
But if you don't know that, then you shouldn't be asking if he was gay or not, you should be asking at which place should you start so that you can gain some knowledge of the man.
I don't necessarily agree with this, Black leaders know how fukked up the situation for black folks was and that it would probably take a LONG time for the situation to be even close to being equal and the complicated mess of factors, that's why I never liked when we pretend the movement is close to being over, very very few struggles aren't very long and folks are going to have to face that factMan listening to him talk I couldn't think about how disappointed to see what black folk are now. He wouldn't do anything but cry. Matter fact all out black leaders that were murdered would do the same thing. It's like their message died along with them.
What do you mean by this post?I don't necessarily agree with this, Black leaders know how fukked up the situation for black folks was and that it would probably take a LONG time for the situation to be even close to being equal and the complicated mess of factors, that's why I never liked when we pretend the movement is close to being over, very very few struggles aren't very long and folks are going to have to face that fact
I don't expect anyone to sit down for 2 hours and watch the entire collection of speeches, but from 2:01:40 to 2:06:44 (basically 5 minutes) is pure gold.
And if you listen to this in the context of Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner and others, it's hard not to agree that his words are as relevant now as they were then.
everything X said came truth esp about integration and how stupid those civil rights nikkas were....X told them that shyt wouldn't work....now were all fukked up
You obviously ain't retain anything reading it because you still spew out stereotypes perpetuated by bigot white to slander other black peopleHis auto biography should be required reading for every nikka.
I remember I lost my first copy on a train, hope some young fatherless ignorant nukka picked it up
