I don't expect anyone to sit down for 2 hours and watch the entire collection of speeches, but from 2:01:40 to 2:06:44 (basically 5 minutes) is pure gold.

And if you listen to this in the context of Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner and others, it's hard not to agree that his words are as relevant now as they were then.

Preciate the drop :salute:
Was listening to some of this last night. He was so knowledgeable that when it came to banter it almost seemed rehearsed with how quick he was to shut those racist down. So effortless :wow:

Man listening to him talk I couldn't think about how disappointed to see what black folk are now. He wouldn't do anything but cry. Matter fact all out black leaders that were murdered would do the same thing. It's like their message died along with them.
The most fearless man I've ever read about or seen.

He was saying things to people's faces in the 1960s that most people wouldn't ever say even today.

The man is a true hero. I don't give 2 shyts about daps or rep.

People need to watch these videos.
Even if it's just 10 minutes at a time. Make your way through it.

It's amazing.

I always find it ironic that Malcolm is considered the militant one and Martin is considered passive , when Martin was the always the one in the news getting arrested or beat up for marching and protesting and Malcolm was just Making speeches. Both men were important though

Don't make this about Malcolm vs MLK.

And don't act like Malcolm was passive just because he didn't get arrested every week.

One of the best things to take away from Malcom was his debating skills

Yep, ive been watching alot of footage on Malcolm the past few months and this is the main thing ive taken away. Great speaker and extremely sharp mind. Great speakers are usually deemed extremely dangerous to the enemy.

"Look at the American Revolution in 1776. That revolution was for what? For land. Why did they want land? Independence. How was it carried out? Bloodshed. Number one, it was based on land, the basis of independence. And the only way they could get it was bloodshed. The French Revolution — what was it based on? The land-less against the landlord. What was it for? Land. How did they get it? Bloodshed. Was no love lost; was no compromise; was no negotiation. I’m telling you, you don’t know what a revolution is. ’Cause when you find out what it is, you’ll get back in the alley; you’ll get out of the way. The Russian Revolution — what was it based on? Land. The land-less against the landlord. How did they bring it about? Bloodshed. You haven’t got a revolution that doesn’t involve bloodshed. And you’re afraid to bleed. I said, you’re afraid to bleed. Long as the white man sent you to Korea, you bled. He sent you to Germany, you bled. He sent you do the South Pacific to fight the Japanese, you bled. You'll bleed for white people, but when it comes time to seeing your own churches being bombed and little black girls murdered, you haven't got no blood."

:wow:

Man, I know I'm the latino one in this thread but how does that not hit a nerve?

Bumping because I just sat down and listened to the entire thing, and I gotta thank you for posting this.

I'm a Christian to my soul, but this video has me examining my lifestyle and my relationships honestly.
And most importantly, my expectations of us as a people.

For those who can't find time, make the time to watch it, not as background noise but something to glean from.

if your serious.

the original author(Perry) who said Malcolm was gay, also said Malcolm used to jack off other little kids when he was a little boy too....Then another author came along and gave the story about Malcolm having a gay experience with some white man for money.....But that author later came out and said he wants to take that part out on the rerelease, because of questions about the source it came from....He said the source I believe was RodnellCollins a nephew but not really related by blood, just a kid his alleged sister had taken in....The author said the source made a lot of claims that didn't make it into the book, seemed like he wanted to be somebody important who writers would keep coming back to for new information....Marable who was supposedly a friend of Malcolms and went on to write the book that was supposed to be the most complete biography on Malcolms life ever, turns out he used Perrys book as a source which isn't credible, and also used Malcolms "nephew" as a source.

Anybody who has any questions on whether Malcolm was gay should go here,it calls a lot of these peoples credibility and fact checking into question, and makes you realize what some people are willing to do for money:mjcry:
Truth Continuum

And sure its possible Malcolm could've been gay:rudy:...But based on lack of evidence, other unfounded slander, most of the info coming from one suspect source in all of these books?I think its reason enough to not believe that shyt at all,and certainly not keep repeating it....hopefully next time somebody repeats it,which may be a lot years from now,you can call them out and explain why its not credible.

Put it this way,if you ever read from Perrys book,if Malcolm was the raging homosexual that Perry describes him as,the FBI would've had no problem finding that out very quickly.

I was disgusted by Marable validating that clown Perry, very pathetic.
