Great movie... Went to go this as a field trip with my school. 5th and 6th grade classes went. Only time I went to the movies and no one got up to go to the bathroom or anything. Everyone in the theater was glued to the screen and their seats. Crazy thing is that I went with a Catholic school with white nuns and teachers... School was majority black students but still...

i can proudly say i went to watch this in 1992 at the theatre..what a day and evening.

What do you remember the theater being like i went to a rescrenning in 99 m that opening is great and i watch this movie every few months just because. I feel there should be an updated black panther movie too

it was like an pan african in the west summit..incredible and the entire theatre was rammed jammed ..soon as the film opened, it was pure silence and after the last song on the credits , arrested development, people started to rise up with cheers./.screaming .."MALCOLM X X!!" ..the friend's who i went with started to bring out many questions and wanting to learn about islam, black and afro identity!! amazing..

debates started popping outside the theatre..buzzing.
