haven't heard anything, but it'd be hilarious if we're all here talkin "rondo is coming to NY after his contract is done" & mothafukkin Melo goes to Boston first instead.

they have the young & bright coach, picks, a GM who makes moves, the cap space now, they can trade Jeff Green & amnesty Gerald Wallace if necessary......faaack.

Jeez imagine?..... The only thing in the Knicks favor is it would likely require a sign and trade and the Knicks aren't likely going to help the damn Celtics let alone take what's left after a love trade.

I really don't want to defend the prospects of a Melo trade

BUT... the only way it'd work was if we surrounded them with defensive players because scoring wouldn't be an issue...

I don't think I can cheer for a team with Melo on it, and most of the Boston media people were saying they wanted no part of him as well

We have a coach now, perfect. Hopefully Fisher will develop well. He's my coach now, blank slate & I wish him well.

I want Phil to take a hard line rule on the whole GM moves thing...

He should deifnitely tell Melo... "Either wait for one year because we promise we will bring more talent around you, fukk Dolan...trust ME" and "with all due Respect melo, I want you here, because I can build a championship team around you but if you don't opt in then we want to set you up in the best situation on a team that both you like and we can get some good pieces form, where do you want to go?"

If Melo opts in, good & don't make too many roster changes outside of Felton, Chandler & JR Smith or Shump.

However, if Melo says, "Sorry, I want to go to [insert team name here]

Then Phil should roll up his sleeves and get to work...

Wherever Melo wants to go...gut that team for picks & solid role players.
Houston - I want Parsons & Asik
Chicago - Taj Gibson, both of those picks & whatever makes the contracts work
Portland - (We could call them) I'd want LMA & Mo Williams

And put Chandler, Bags, Felton, JR all on the trading block.

LMA would be a gift, but there's no way Portland would throw him in. We have no leverage. A package from them centered around Batum would be attractive, though.
