The contract isn't a reflection of not being underrated . A Bunch of Knicks fans here wanted Him
To walk for cap space , ferry has that report saying melo isn't really worth 20 mil a year , ESPN rankings have him out the top 10 and lets be honest he got a lot of people saying he's not with the money . Melo has a right to feel underrated if he so should choose . I don't get the pocket watching in this thread

There's no pocket watching on my end... But he's obviously not underrated. He's worrying too much about how others precieve him and shyt and that statement right there proves it. ESPN is going to have their little shyt to say and all the reporters and all that and the fans.

For the sake of the argument, what does him feeling underrated do? Like what good does it do? Instead of feeling like that then he should go out there and kill shyt. Be a fukking leader. Can we please get more than 4 fukking assists for the season? That 3.4 assists average is funny in the light.

I remember watching games and the most exited and enthusiastic person out there on the floor was Tyson. Please Melo, less diva and more of a leader. I'm fukking excited.

It's going to be a great season.

Nah fukk that. He's being a little bytch. Underrated means he's worrying about how others like the media or the fans view him... That's some whack shyt. He obviously doesn't feel underrated when he looks in the mirror so why the fukk care? Hence, he's being a bytch.
Melo is being a bytch ? :dwillhuh: the scouting report ferry had is pretty much melo is a glorified Danny granger and people we're saying he should take a 40 mil plus pay cut to run to Chicago cause hes not good enough to be a number 1. A big talk this offseason was how melo can't be the man on a team despite only missing the playoffs once . Cp3 is never criticized anywhere near as harsh as melo and he's had a better team for a few years now and has been viewed a top 5 player for years

Do you apply this same standard to KD who only averages 3.5 apg for his career? And this is only because he played Point Forward in RW's absence the past 2 seasons, and he's been on a stacked team for much of his career. If we're using that standard, why is KD even MVP? I just established that he does no better in apg than 'Melo when OKC's PG isn't injured. He averages fewer passes per minute than 'Melo (click here for 'Melo's stats on that and click here for KD's), making him less of a willing passer than 'Melo, and he's certainly a poor rebounder for his size and wingspan.

In order for 'Melo to get more assists, he'd have to control the ball as much as those who get more assists; he doesn't (click here for his Time Of Possession in Minutes stats). You want him to be more ball-dominant or less? Which is it?

Tyson wasn't close to a leader. He publicly criticized his coach and teammates, while playing like trash himself. 'Melo went off for 62 to inspire his team into the Playoffs and that was why they were only 1 game out. He was the only consistent player. He took the young guys to Puerto Rico to work out with him, as well as the games he put together at his gym.

tyson was always complaining and not holding himself accountable and getting sick . Knicks tried to get him to work with the dream and he refused as well and threw the team under the bus after HE got destroyed by hibbert. I don't know how you view MElo as a diva

Shut up.

This is how players motivate themselves... create perceived slights, create vendettas, create chips on their shoulders, and feel like they have something to prove.

You typing this makes me feel like this is your first experience with sports.

I found out the circumstances of his statement and he was asked if he was underrated because he hasn't won an NBA title. The criticism is so forced that he isn't even allowed to answer a question. Funny thing is, if he had ignored the question, he would have been criticized for that too. His answer was “I think I’m the most underrated superstar that’s out there but that doesn’t matter to me, as far as caring about if I’m underrated as a superstar, and getting the respect I deserve, I don’t worry about that. In due time if everything goes well, I will get it”. So much for being "worried" :sas2:.

That's the only way he's treated according to his worth because they want that production. They rank him and criticize him like he's Jason Collins.
