No we wouldn't . Unless he benched Felton and Murray was lighting them up other than that we'd be. CookedFOH here the Knicks would be waiting for the Wiz/Bulls series
That's if Melo didn't have a bum shoulder

He can still go that route after next season, we all know we're not gonna see the same team we saw this season going into next, so this gives Melo the chance to basically say Phil you have this season to show and prove...If he not digging the direction Phil going he can leave or hear out whatever another team talking, If he truly serious about winning a ship as a Knicks this would be the ideal situation
I think we have a better player in Melo, but the Knicks don't play that collectively and thats mostly due to PG play.point guard play might excuse why the games have looked so close...but if the Pacers lose to the Hawks it's gotta be more than that and I still feel this Knicks team was better than that injured Hawks team
I didn't know this thread was stilling going on.
i agree on it being more than PG play, but i think Jeff Teague starting off the way he did opened it up for them & i'm not sure the Knicks would've been able to take advantage like that. Pacers love playing us too, and they would've stuck to their style against us as opposed to trying to adjust to the Hawks like they've done.point guard play might excuse why the games have looked so close...but if the Pacers lose to the Hawks it's gotta be more than that and I still feel this Knicks team was better than that injured Hawks team

I know I have defended Lin even when he has played like ass in Houston, but if the knicks had Lin or any competent PG we WOULD be a better squad. Unfortunately we don't...we have Raymond Felton.
It's impossible to win consistently without a high IQ, patient and in shape PG. I bet Phil gets a PG that people don't really respect, but has a high basketball IQ and the team wins 50 games next season.
Felton is not better than Jeremy Lin
Breh, I just cant
Felton aint no all star, but he has much more consistent handles and has a far higher Bball IQ than Lin.
Not to mention Felton costs the knicks only 30% of what Lin would have made here
I think Vazquez would be a good fit if they use the triangle and are able to dump Felton. Phil loves those big PGs.
This must be your first offseason thread. Trust me when I say this thread will be poppin until
October.
Felton is not better than Jeremy Lin
I am not saying its worth more than 11mm more than Felton.Ask yourself this (considering you've watched Lin's play as of late):
1.) Lin's turnovers
2.) Low basketball IQ
3.) Just as poor a defemder
Although he is a slightly better shooter (44% vs. 40%). Is that worth 1mm more than Felton this year? Maybe, you say?
Is that worth 11mm more than Felton next year?
I didn't know this thread was stilling going on. How is this contractually possible? I don't see how he gets to become a free agent whenever he wants, as opposed to when the contract he signed dictates. I also don't see how what is available to him now will be available later. I would think teams will have moved on and his choices won't be the same.
