Now...I just don't know what to think anymore.
He makes sense but Melo at the 4 for 82 games though?
I don't want another shoulder tear injury(He's had shoulder trouble for the last 2 playoffs)...Seriously, people aren't talking about this...
Now...I just don't know what to think anymore.
No wonder I didn't see you going ham on this discussionI can't even tell because of the ignore button.
Jesus ChristGame? No need to accuse me of playing games just because you can't prove your claims. Stats show that Cole is a better defender and rebounder than Noah. Stats also show that Noah is not significantly better on offense than Cole. Do you have any proof that contradicts this?
It's a lock. At least @ROFL_GUY is intentionally trying to makeJesus Christ

Consider the above statement a rebuttal, brehs/brehettes.
People arguing that Cole Aldrich is better than Joakim Noah? :pause:
I pray to Allah(I'm not religious) that Phil would be able to convince Noah to come back home.
Listen. If you want to argue that Cole Aldrich could be useful. I agree. I think he can be a strong presence around the hoop, defending and grabbing rebounds. He doesn't have the lateral speed to show up weakside, or range to get across the lane consistently... but if he's in position, he can step over and contest, plus he's shown to be a decent man defender on the block. He can't defend the pick and roll, but most centers can't, and he's not a star... so I don't expect him to be able to do EVERYTHING, I expect him to be able to do one or two things well.
But it's silly and mathematically obtuse to use his statistics to represent his usefulness or talent. And the reason is simple: Sample size. You're using the per-36s for him, and comparing those to Joakim Noah, because his per-games aren't any good. The reason his per-36 stats look good, is because he only played 7 minutes a game, so you are essentially multiplying everything he's done by 5.
That's the thing about statistics, if you torture them enough... they'll say almost anything. Cole Aldrich isn't the defender Joakim noah is, because he can't guard speed at all. He can't cover a wing on a switch, he can't rotate across the court to help/contest, and he can't get up and down the floor to get back on defense against the transition. Noah does all of those things. He's also the best passing big man in basketball. Bar none. You can run an offense through him, and he finds open teammates, he sees lanes and finds cutters. Aldrich doesn't have the level of competency on offense.
It's ok to like a player without being OUTLANDISH about it. Cole Aldrich can be primed to surprise people with his play, without BEING BETTER THAN JOAKIM NOAH LOOK IT UP. Because he's simply not. And it makes you look ridiculous to say so. And even if you're not technically saying Cole>Noah, you're just saying the stats are comparable ... that's intellectually dishonest or deficient. Because we know it isn't true, insinuating otherwise is silly.
In your vigor to "support the team" you seem to have fallen into the trap of constantly using hyperbole to do so. This "look at the stats" shyt is flimsy, New Kids on the Block sold more albums than Bob Marley... counting stats are not always the best way to compare talent.
Historically, I've been happy to tell stupid fans to go screw, and put them on ignore, because they don't contribute anything useful, and truthfully, on a larger scale... stupid fans help keep bad management feel empowered. I think your interest in the team, and in this site could probably be useful once the season begins. When games matter, and you don't have to rely so heavily on theoreticals.
But ease up. You don't want to be a running joke.
This post is spot-on. That crazy bytch gonna respond by saying you've been brainwashed by the media, though.
