It's funny...we lost tha last summer league game because we pretty much did not play the triangle in the 1st half.

Since @JerseyFinest! brought the topic up...

:pacspit:

lol. What would it take for a Greg Monroe trade...

Keep in mind the turmoil that is Detroit.

I'm thinking Stat, Shump & a first rounder & a 2016 2nd rounder...

Look, NY fans, SleazSPN is just trying to destroy the team by getting into their heads about trade rumors because they think it worked against Shump last season. The whole purpose of bring Swish on First Take was to tell him that he's in danger of being traded, and in the process, try to find out if that possibility scares him, and cast doubt on Phil's qualification as an Exec. NY showed what they can do in the Triangle when the rookie coach got some of the most underdeveloped players on the team to gel, play defense, and thrive in a completely foreign system. Imagine what Derek and the Triangle will be able to do when the more elite players ('Melo, Swish, Amar'e, etc) will be around them? Now they have more people than ever who know the system. Why do you think Skip asked Swish how realistic it is for NY to win the East? Because he's knows their chances are good. Notice he didn't ask him how realistic it is for them to win it all. NY won 54 games without Phil, Derek, or the Triangle. They won 54 with a healthy Swish and the iso-'Melo offense. Now they have a lot more. They won 54 with a stacked Heat team intact. Now, that team is gone.

Why would SleazSPN want to sabotage NY? Because they want the face of the league (Lj) to come out of the East. Your team will most likely be scary good. A broken down Rose, coming off of injury (for the 3rd time) scares no one. Noah coming off of knee surgery, scares no one. 34 year old Gasol scares no one. 'Melo is better than a healthy Rose. Cole is an elite rim protector and rebounder. Iman is close enough to Butler (especially in the Triangle). Swish is better than Taj. José is better than Hinrich. A no-defense-playing line up of Lj, Irving, Love, Tristan, Miller, Ray, etc scares no one because they won't be able to stop anyone. I personally don't know how the East will guard or score against the rotation below in the Triangle when NY already ranked 9th in opponent ppg without the Triangle (the issue was that they ranked 20th in offense, which is not likely to be the case this season):

Calderon (elite shooting and passing, clutch) / Larkin (elite passing, good defense, serviceable shooting, clutch) / Pablo (elite shooting and passing, good defense)
Swish (elite shooting, good passing, good defense, good rebounding, clutch) / Shump (elite defense, good rebounding, serviceable passing, serviceable shooting in the Triangle) / TH2 (good shooting, fearless)
Melo (elite shooting, elite defense -- ranking in the 69th percentile overall, good passing, clutch) / Early (good shooting, good defense, good rebounding) / Thanasis (elite defense)
Amar'e (elite shooting, good rebounding) /Jason (good shooting, good defense, good rebounding) / Tyler (good shooting and rebounding)
Cole (elite defense and rebounding, serviceable offense) / Bargs (good shooting and defense) / Dalembert (elite defense and rebounding, good shooting)

The refs are gonna troll them so hard, watch! Your team is not flashy but if you know anything about them, you know they're very good when healthy. Spurs don't have flashy names, but they have a great system and players who fit the system, which caused them the stomp the flashy team, and we know they nearly beat them last season too.
