kerr cant be worse than woodson, im tired of retreads, lets try something new. plus with phil in his corner running the same offense he does he'll have the best coach in history to see him through any turbulence.
Exactly , and I want a system . I hate dantoni but he had a system and style of play he understood and tried to implement it with his style of players , Woodson I still have no idea what he was trying to do outside of taking part of dantonis system and holding no one accountable unless Dolan gave him permission

The I in Team
Former players with no coaching experience have seemed to work well over the past few years. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Kerr...

I agree but it's easier to do that in Phoenix vs NY. Imagine the media reaction if Kerr lost 3 in a row :banderas:

If Kerr is the choice I'm on the fence about it. Besides Phil's disciples never had much success. See Kurt Rambis and Brian Shaw.

Working title so suggestions appreciated.

Either way:

Woodson gone :camby:

Murry gone :camby:

Tyler gone :camby:

Chandler gone (hopefully) :camby:

Felton Jail :camby:

Will melo stay?:lupe: We will see. Should we try to trade Bargnanis expiring? I say yes. Also thought Amare finished strong. As much as I enjoyed seeing that he's still a huge liability health wise. This will be an interesting summer for the zen master.

:comeon: Murry should have gotten an opportunity to start. Felton was the worst PG in the NBA for 2 years straight :damn: Phil will hire B.Shaw or Kerr to run the triangle.

...done with work, but on call for another 3 hours. So I can shadowbox for a few.

Please tell us more about how Melo is better than LeBron, he of 2 championships, 4 MVP's and 7 All NBA first-teams. Melo of zero, zero, and zero.

Crazy thing is, I'm not even a LeBron fan. I just have very strict rules about facts.
I'm stealing this line for use IRL....

Breh Murray showed some potential and tenacity on d stuff that felton never ever did. Remember that stat from earlier in the year about how good the lineup was with shump and Murray playing ? I mean we were so far under .500 , Felton sucked and had legal trouble yet he just kept cruising along sucking . Woodson either is a horrible coach or for some reason ( front office , melo or someone kept Felton starting ) either way he needs to go cause a idiot or a puppet both are not good options for coaches

I noticed the wizards were not mentioned :mjpls:

Washington should get mentioned just cus they got an all-star pg and some other young talent...But how come no one mentions Brooklyn? They got an all-star PG, at times :MJpls:, a clutch veteran SG, and talented big men. The Net's owner gives zero fukks about the money and Melo can keep his home in NY.

I know it probably won't happen but I'd also love to see him play in Phoenix with the Dragon

I think Woody has to go, but I'm not gonna sit here and act like he's not getting shytted on. :skip: @ the bolded.
Nah but seriously he has done a horrible coaching job, but I think some of it was due to pressure from management. JR shouldn't have been playing in the beginning of the year. Clearly he needed more rehab. I think Dolan didnt wanna look like an idiot for give JR a contract and then JR goes and get surgery before the ink is dry, so he made him get his ass on the court. And he made Woody play him. A lot. "Management" also made zero moves to give him anything to work with when guys were going in and out with injuries. Now as for Woody, he coached to start the year like he had the ultimate job security. Somebody fooled him into thinking he was untouchable. Because before that game where Melo walked the ball up the court with under 10 seconds left and hoisted some bs instead of calling timeout, Woody seemed to not be very active on the sidelines IMO. After that game I noticed him trying to use his timeouts more wisely at least. Vet loyalty to Felton did him in too. He was not safe enough to ride it out for his "guy". His guy fukked him. Maybe not intentionally but he did. Ray should been benched before the new year. I know he saw old ass Prigs and inexperienced Murry behind him, but oh well, get creative. The fact that Murry could not be scored on at will would have helped tremendously. How many games have we lost cuz Felt got lit the fukk up? And John Wall broke Prigi's toe cuz he had his old ass planting and cutting too hard trying to keep up. Melo & JR facilitated the offense most of the time anyway, so he shoulda had Murry in there as a stopper. Or an attempt at a stopper. Anything would have been better than watching Feltons man parade to the hoop every night or him fukking up rotations by switching EVERY fukkING TIME but not communicating that. Yeah he ISO's Melo down the stretch when a bucket is needed. But every superstar gets an ISO in that situation. It's just that the others stars understand you can possibly make a play for someone else out of that ISO. Woody didn't do a good job of communicating that to his star. Also this a team of mental midgets. Woody doesnt have a strong enough personality to lead such a group without respected vets also on the roster. That's a problem.

Quick sidebar, lol @ Stat saying the lack of vet leadership hurt the team. nikka YOU been in the league 11 years! Does this nikka think before he speaks?? He says some dumb shyt and plays defense like a moron. I think this cat is a well dressed doofus. He looks like a smart guy til he opens his mouth.

I think Melo will be back. If it's not about the money theres no reason to opt out. Not 1 current contender can sign him without gutting their roster contract wise. FOH Melo. You had me going there for a few months.
Tyson please :camby: I can't wait for Stat to bang it on you in your new uniform. You are a soft overrated bytch. You've never been there when it counts. You have no big playoff moments. You won DPOY but made 2nd team all defense the same year. You're a phony. I think we coulda had Turiaf starting and saw no drop off. Please fukkin go. Little hat wearin ass nikka.
Shump. I don't like you dog, no secret there. Phil likes your defense. With coach with a plan and/or possibly in the triangle, I think you may be of some use yet tho. How bout workin on those handles and finishing this summer tho. :ld:
THjr? Get stronger. Work on handles. Improve defensive footwork. Your defense is Feltonesque. I don't want to start disliking you. Even tho he played for the enemy, your pops was 1 of my favorite players so you have some rope with me.

Phil Jackson Vowed Changes In Speech To Knicks

Phil Jackson and Jim Dolan addressed the New York Knicks' locker room after the team's season finale, and Jackson made it clear that there will be changes in the offseason.

“Phil was honest; he said it was a disappointing season,” one Knicks player said. “He told us that there will be changes in the locker room and that not all of us will be back."

Jackson also told the Knicks they should be grateful for the job Mike Woodson has done.

Jackson is expected to try to re-sign Carmelo Anthony, but the statuses of Tyson Chandler, Iman Shumpert, Amar'e Stoudemire and others is unclear.

Phil Jackson praises Mike Woodson, vows to make changes to Knicks roster - NY Daily News

Yeah it looks like Melo wants to stay but the knicks need to improve the roster somehow and Phil Jackson intends to do that.

Hopefully he spent the last few weeks watching the team to know who needs to go and who needs to stay. As for Woodson I think he needs to go but Jackson isn't trying to throw him under the bus either. I guess its a coach's courtesy thing.

It would be quite risky of 'Melo to put his prime in Noah's feet (feet problems from bigs are no joke), Rose's knees, and Houston's tendency to turn the ball over.
