Okay here are all of the possible scenarios for this situation using a taser.

1. Officer pulls taser from 10 feet+ away. There is a pretty good chance she isn't really fazed by the taser and still guts the other girl and kills her.
2. Officer pulls taser from 10 feet+ away. In order to demobilize an attacker with adrenaline pumping, the voltage it would take to stop her creates a high chance of killing Makiah.
3. Officer pulls taser from 10 feet+ away. With the distance, it may take two hits to Makiah to stop her. In that time she still stabs the other girl to death.
4. Officer pulls taser from 10 feet+ away. He misses and Makiah still stabs the other girl to death.


Either way there was a high probability of one of those girls dying in that situation. Some people really don't know how tasers work. Their effectiveness severely reduces the further you are from the target.
