I got a friend who got divered at 39 with 5 kids making 130k a year north of Boston. The Alimony/child support was so high, he literally took a job for less money (still $70-90k a year) and moved into a rental apartment with only 2 bedrooms for his kids to share when they stayed with him. Within 2 years, 2 of the kids were old enough to be off at College and one was about to be graduating high school, so his child support dropped.....to $2k a month, and she can take him back to court any time he makes more money to ask for more support.

Dude literally makes less money on purpose right now, and never has any any doh, drives a old paid off sedan and watches his pennies for eating out/drinking.

Getting divorced is one of the best ways to ruin your financial earning power.

I understand why people murder in those situations

To an extent he ain't wrong bruh, making anything less than 70K these days and you're living check to check, working 2-3 jobs and renting an 80 sq ft room in the slums in SF if you're paying the current market rate :francis:

120K will allow you to work 1 job and not check to check IF you live well below your means. Studios in frisco go for $3500+ and once you pile car insurance, parking fees, student debt, etc. on top of that you're easily spending 5K+ a month on bills not including food. That income is about 7K a month after taxes (9.6K before)... if you're frugal you might save 1000 of that a month which is great until you have some unforeseen health/robbery/disaster bullshyt come up that eats up your savings.

The obvious choice is living outside of Frisco which is having the adverse effect of raising the rents everywhere else :francis:

120K is more than enough to live comfortable and grow wealth

First off, don't let the your employer take taxes out of your check, pay your own taxes

have your job pay not you, but your LLC, just make an LLC, what your name is LLC, that' where your pay check goes

you work for your LLC and your job is paying your LLC for your time, so now you personal don't make any money, your LLC does

So know you can write off your mortgage, the money you spend on gas, lunch, etc

You shouldn't have a mortgage either, find a someone to seller finance you a house, or get a land contract, if you have a good job like that it won't be hard to find someone would do that for you

be a real nikka like me would just buy a trailer for 5 racks and save up enough to cash out a lot in an area I want to live, and just then just build a house for 20,000 that' worth 200,000 upon completion

now say thank you, you enslaved ass muthafukkaz

Alimony/child support kills mens finacial well being man, KILLS IT.

Take that $120k....Now say he has, after taxes, family heath insurance through the employer and hopefully putting something in a 401k, hes seeing maybe $5,000 - $6,000 a month in take home. Take half of that to send to your ex, now you got $2,500-$3000 left for you for the month. Rent in this area for a 2 bedroom aint gonna be less than $1200 for anything not in a slummy building...most condo/town house type of places will run you $1500-$1600. Now you got $1,000 - $1,100 left. He has a G a month to pay for electricity, heat, internet, cell phone, cable, all his credit card debt/school loans, car payment, insurance, food for himself and then all the extras for his kids when they are with him.

Thats how you make $120k a year and live paycheck to paycheck.

This dude in the OP HAS TWO EX WIFES!!!! No wonder his shyt bounces.
