I'm basically saying in Hip Hop I think it's vital to do majority of ur own shyt. As an artform not only does it gives u credibility but it puts more money in ur own pocket. I have no problem with the artists that aren't considered true emcees and don't try to be. But hip hop shouldn't be represented by a cat like Drake. shyt is dangerous to the core of the genre.

I got zero problems with people that like Drake's music but his fans on this board were never on some "oh, I just like his music". That shyt started after the reference tracks. Suddenly nothing matters but the finished product.

That's why I said this hopscotching shyt needs to stop. Him having help don't matter, as long as the music is hot right....but the same dudes are in every thread running damage control. Or trying to split hairs on how much help he has. If it don't matter why even address it?

My feeling have been the same forever. I don't find any identity in thinking a rapper wrote some shyt by himself. I want it hear good music if it took 200 people to make it *clap for em*
