michael cooper was a good 3pt shooter for his era, byron scott. the lakers had shooters (not to the extent of GS) plus buck had a nice set 3pt shot later in his career.

let me ask you. Who's keeping kareem off the boards, who's guarding kareem. Zeke noted they still had to double kareem at 40 years old in the finals. His shot is unstoppable and unguardable and he never had issues going up and down the court.

The Lakers made like 1-3 threes a game, with 107 possessions per game only 1-3 of them resulted in a three. Stop it, the Warriors are taking 30+ a game.

Kareem wasn't a dominant rebounder at that age, stop trying to use the best versions of players. And the issue is that Kareem would get exploited with high pick and rolls, you watch these teams play and have no idea what you're seeing. The Warriors took advantage of Rudy Gobert in the high screen on switches, and he's a better defender than a 35+ year old Kareem. They'd be calling for high screens all game long to get him involved in switches, which is how a defense is broken down.

How can he "scheme" against a team that would be going directly at Kareem on defense and pulling him out from the basket forcing him to defend? Outside of Kareem becoming 25 years old, how do you hide him on defense when the Warriors game plan would be high screens to get him on Curry? You really think a 37 year old 7'2" man can show, hedge and then recover to the paint if he's not switching?

They'd guard Kareem one on one and live with the results because on the other end they'd expose him defensively. If you think Kareem would be more damaging than the open looks from three that he'd be giving up you should just give up on basketball. What happened to a 24 year old Rudy Gobert, would be even worse with a player who never had to guard perimeter players because high screens weren't prevelant -
