KD has responded to twitter/instagram users both through his own accounts and the burner accounts he was caught with. The latter is a bit more effort than the regular back and forth, so yeah from time to time he reads and responds to both realms of commentary regarding him.

This conversation is not personal on either side so no, it didn’t take much energy at all.
It's not personal, but Magic said some shyt assuming he knew what did or didn't make KD happy. Magic has experienced the media painting pictures of a player's psyche with no actual evidence of it. Why turn around and do the same thing to a current star?

I can see where you are coming from after some though in terms of expecting Magic to have more empathy coming from the same career as KD. You have a valid point fam

Nah, he would've been Karl Malone status.

You say that as if it’s a bad thing. To casuals, maybe it is a bad thing. But Malone is an unquestionable all time great (and I’m not a fan of his at all).

True basketball fans know it’s a team sport and so many moving pieces have to be in place for a player to win a championship from the ownership, to the front office on down.

Yes, he wouldn't have been mentioned amongst the pantheons of greats who won championships but he would still be an all time great player.

His rings now don’t garner him the respect he feels he deserves or else he wouldn’t have left.

It’s all speculative, you can’t say he would never have won had he stood with OKC. They were coming closer every season.

Breh a basketball god but obviously it ain’t fulfilling him for whatever reason.

He needs to find out what moves him. Same reason why all these “privileged” mfs be depressed is the the same thing that’s eating him.

Some people need extra shyt in their lives but it’s on them to find out specifically what that extra shyt is exactly because obviously getting a few hundred ms in a nice area would make damn near all of us happy and content but apparently not him.

People may say that slick shyt now but 20 years from now all people will say is that the Warriors lost the championship the year before he got there and lost it again when he got hurt. When he was there and healthy the team was unstoppable. How you feel right now won't be the narrative then.

This nikka isn't going to last in New York. :mjlol:

I don't see how him and his team didn't realize this. Sure I doubt his team will outright tell him he's a bytch who can't handle criticism...but surely they told him that media scrutiny in the media capital of the fukking world is gonna be insane. What happens if the team has success while he's out, and then struggles when he returns as Kyrie and KD get used to each other? Even if it's just a bad 10 to 20 game stretch, there will be thousands of articles and ESPN segments about it. Is he ready for that?

The irony of KD leaving Golden State because he didn't feel accepted when he finally gained everyone's respect in the last finals. He was just about to get that ultimate validation but left anyways SMH. Most confused Superstar ever.

KD literally has said winning a ring didnt make him happy. He has talked about his psyche all the time

You could be right, you could be wrong. The difference now and in 20 years is we have more access to information at the palm of our hands.

So kids born today will be able to tell what the narrative of any given player was 20 years before their time.

It’s not the pre-internet era. You can actually read up on the nuisances of a situation very easily. GS were champions, and championship contenders, before KD ever donned a Jersey.

In fact, the narrative against KD won’t favor him if he fails to win a championship in his post-GS era.

Which I think would be unfair if that’s the case.
