Every review I've seen for this game says the same thing. Character, story & atmosphere is incredible but the gameplay is generic and wack. I was gonna pick it up when it dropped below $20 (which really should not take long given the negativity) but no fast travel is making me think I won't even bother. Talk about padding your game out

This game was truly a disappointment. But now that I think about it, the second one didn't get good review either (although better than this one). It's something wrong with their formula I guess.
This game was rushed as fukked. Why wasn't shyt like character/car customization and races there at launch? They add that shyt a full two months when everyone has beaten this and long forgot about it
I fux wit it thanks to GameFly but it does get repetitive...at the same time doing drivebys with "Baby Luv" playing tho

The character customization probably wasn't available at launch because they didn't have cutscenes made for all the outfits...
That's how I felt too. Just beat it a couple of days ago and it really started to drag. The ending was ok at best but the ending of Mafia 2 was much better in my opinion.
