this game is whack. period.

there are some parts about this game i like in terms of cultural elements, the storyline

but i get tired of doing the same fukking thing over and over again.

the A.I. is the worst i've ever seen in a game even on PS3 or PS2

plus some of the graphical glitches are inexcusable - that bright ass sun? you can't even see the fukking screen.

sorry man I'm trading this shyt in for Tomb Raider tomorrow

I get the repetitive complaints, but at the same time I feel like some of yall suffer from 'open world fatigue', or whatever. the story lays out what you have to do, and the missions fit into that context. you kill people and steal shyt. there's just not a lot of fluff like "lets go bowling, cousin"...

one complaint I had about Mafia 2 was that it was a waste of an open world. this one is a little better, but basically suffers from the same issue. with open world games, people have certain expectations. if it was a linear corridor shooter, no one would be complaining about the lack of mission variety

driving around in new orleans in 1968 is beyond dope, they need to do more period piece games like this

but again fam, that SUN? c'mon...you have to admit sometimes that bright ass sun making the whole damn screen white gets on your nerves

also, kneeling down, whistling, and waiting on a muthafukka to come walk up to get stabbed gets boring after a while fam.

I agree the graphics are wonky some times. the game definitely has a bunch of technical issues

mafia was never meant to be open world. they got too much going on with main characters dying early, nikkas going to jail doing a couple years, age and season changes.. they couldn't let you run around doing side missions for months at a time.

what's funny is if you go to fallout forums, there's threads about how stupid it is to have your son kidnapped, then do 200 side missions without going to the next step.. where here it's the exact opposite

I'm still not understanding these complaints :wtf:

Y'all really feeling GTA 5 solo more than this :mindblown:

GTA got bushes for me on ps3, never went back. I'm not saying this game is revolutionary but it sticks to the point and does what it needs to do well. Wanted system, gratifying violence, great driving physics.. I mean sure the sky looks like vomit most of the time, and they really cheaped out on handling gravity physics, but shyt like the aiming system and overall narrative.. way more to love than hate.

Naw. In an open world slut. I cop every ass creed and enjoy them. I like SOM, Mad Max, etc. This game is just not good. The gameplay design is just rudimentary and uninspiring. I mean every mission structure is the same thing. There was no thought or creativity put into it. It's like an late gem PS2 title. And the story is not that great. Typical revenge story. As far as the usual open world cliches, no one is asking for mind numbing activities or side quest. But holy shyt is the world lifeless. Defenders keep saying it's not like GTA(despite is being in the same mold like every other realistic open world game since 01) and it's about the story. Well they should have made this a linear title like UC or Gears. Game is a massive disappointment and the Devs wasted a golden oppurtunity
