Like I said, unless there is a federal ban completely, this shyt won't work in the states. State bans are useless when you can just drive to another state and buy a gun.
I'm not opposed but I'm also being realistic. Also, I've personally become more pro gun ownership in the face of racist ass cacs getting more buck and gaining more power in this country with blatant racism. These racist cacs are never giving up their guns. I'm not either.

Don't get me wrong breh, I am not against an assault rifle ban but making guns illegal all together is a fantasy at this point. I saw a vice documentary where a Filipino cat was making guns melting metal from old car parts. You get the molds and it's a wrap. There will be a market for them like drugs.
I honestly think it is a childlike to think you can stop mass shootings with just strict gun laws alone.
Some thing else has to be going on. Mass shootings have only been prevalent like this in the last 20 years, while guns have been around forever. I think what you said in the bolded above makes more sense.
To me I see it through the lens of suicide. Suicide has been around since the beginning of mankind, yet it used to be that you only killed yourself. I used to think that if you were going to off yourself you have a license to do anything you want cause you are going out anyway. All of the worst crimes like theft, rape and even mass murder are on the table cause you are playing with house money- you don't have to live to see the consequences.
Until modern times the only thing stopping people from doing those horrible crimes were either concern for the honor and reputation of their surviving family or sympathy for the random people they would be hurting and the innocent lives they would be taking.
For some reason that switch has been shut off in people with these suicidal tendancies and society needs to figure out why.
This doesn't rule out anything including easy access to guns, growing up with realistic looking FPS games, depression/psych meds, and even the role of social media and the Internet causing a lack of real human connection.
All things are a factor not just guns.
