Someone clarify what happened with Pete? All throughout it, I thought he got the 'W'? How's this an L? :dwillhuh:

From the beginning of this episode, shyt had me vexed :sadcam:

Don getting pulled over :hamster:

Betty getting cancer :mjcry::damn:

One of Don's skeleton's being revealed :ohhh::ohhh::ohhh::ohhh::ohhh:

Don getting his ass kicked by the war vets for what they thought was his wrong doing :mindblown:

That bytch ass fukkin thieving ass little bytch of a kid :pacspit::pacspit::pacspit:

That speech Don gave to the kid and then giving him the car :ohhh::whoo::ooh:

They really set the table for some monstrous ending next week :hamster::hamster::hamster:
On a semi-positive note from this episode, good to see Sally's character appreciated by her mother when it was all said and done :mjcry:

Also wonder what happens with Roger's character, as many of the main ones have been written off.

Dikk being responsible for Don's death was a reveal right?

I'm getting far too emotional about this show ending :pachaha: :sadcam::mjcry:

Like where do we go from here? In terms of character development, layering of story and authenticity, everything is a step down. Game of Thrones is class but it's not seeing Mad Men at all.

With just the finale to go, I think Mad Men is the GOAT.

There's a lot of talk about the finale being totally centred on Don, with his story the only story seemingly not sewn up and finished.

I hope he somehow finds out about Betty. It would be fitting to have him return to Betty and the kids after everything he's been through, the number of women etc.

God damn, my body is not ready for the end of this show :wow:

I still got the wire as 1 but Mad Men might be 1b...

Did anybody else take that as Don saying he purposely killed him or that he did it on accident?

They list it as an "accident" but judging by Don breaking down, and how sly he's been throughout this show, it was definitely intentional, and being around those vets and guilt finally got the best of him

Don Korea read via Wiki

dikk never finishes high school (Season 4: "The Summer Man"), and in his early twenties he runs away to enlist in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.[9] Once deployed, he serves under the command of Lieutenant Donald Francis Draper, an engineer[4] under orders to build a field hospital with only Private Whitman to assist him; all of his previous subordinates either deserted or were captured. dikk soon learns that Lieutenant Draper, having been drafted during college, is close to completing his tour of duty.

During an enemy artillery attack, Whitman accidentally causes an explosion that kills the real Lieutenant Draper. Realizing that Lieutenant Draper's corpse is badly burned and unidentifiable, Whitman switches the engineer's dog tags with his own and assumes his identity. Whitman later awakens in a hospital, presumed to be Lieutenant Draper, and is awarded the Purple Heart. He is sent home with Lieutenant Draper's coffin (now believed to be Whitman's) to offer the Army's regrets to Whitman's survivors. He avoids meeting the Whitmans at the train station, but is spotted by Adam, whose parents don't believe him. Years later, Don encounters Adam in New York, but his cold insistence on leaving the past behind ultimately drives his younger brother to suicide.

Whitman makes his escape and begins his new life as Don Draper. The new Don is working as a used-car salesman when Anna M. Draper, the real Don Draper's widow, tracks him down. After learning that her husband is dead, the two develop a close friendship that continues even many years after they obtain a legal divorce, until Anna's death of cancer.

Do you remember in a couple of episodes ago that the head hunter told her that McCann was the best job for her at the moment? You have to know that this was the 70's and women wasn't getting those high level jobs that she had at Sterling and Cooper. She has to prove herself over there before finding another gig at a another company.

i have to go back and check but i seem to remember headhunters (maybe duck) going after peggy and getting her pretty good gigs either during the merger or her problems with ted

Cmon we all saw the flashback.

He didn't mean to kill him

I don't remember the flashback at all... I thought the real Don died, his "confession" was the first time I remember hearing that he was responsible.

Yeah, I just rewatched the flashback scene from season 1.

Don and dikk are attacked. After the shooting is over, they start smoking, Don goes you pissed yourself, dikk, while looking down, drops the lighter on a trail of gasoline that explodes.
