Ya I noticed that. Which is why it was surprising to read people in here saying he looked happy. He didn't look happy to me at all.
He looked distant. Uninterested. People around him seemed to take it as the same old stoic Don, but something seemed off. The only time he looked into it to me was when he was schooling the creative team.

It's obvious to me that bangin' that doctor's wife had nothing to do with with sex...it had everything to do with Don seeing that Doctor save a man's life in front of him, which in the process made Don feel like less of a man for not doing anything in life as heroic or as important.His immaturity forces him into a childish game of "oh yeah, well I fukked your girl..." to try to get some power and confidence back.

Yeah, the Betty storyline was mostly uninteresting to me, but I loved this episode....Don in Hawaii, esp. the scene with the GI, that was dope as fukk, 'One day I'll be the veteran who vacations in paradise who can't sleep and talks to strangers' his growing sense of discontent with everything, esp. his wife was well portrayed...Pete was a douche as usual, but some classic lines, '...and now he's going to take a nap', we all could see something off about Don being so friendly with the doctor, and the reveal was something no one was surprised about, but it was effective nonetheless. 'I want to stop doing this' great last line...

good insight...that's definitely it, I don't think Don is a through and through coward, but he deals with his deficiencies in a morally corrupt and childish, petty manner, rather then confronting them in a positive way..which is very standard for the times.
