Facts. When he first came out in the 90's, people weren't used to an aggressive white rapper, so he got overhyped. He seemed like something new. He was dope those first three years of his career but calling him the GOAT is pushing it. And also after those three he fell off so hard that he's definitely not in any kinda GOAT contender convo.
There is no way you really were cognitive in a culture based sense to say what you said about Eminem.
There were no fully culturally endorsed white emcees in rap then. Vanilla ice made the white rapper's draw completely defunct and a cultural abomination. Eminem was that skilled an emcee.
Eminem singlehandidly slammed into that doorway and broke it down.
It just so happened in the collateral damage of knocking down that culture based door and edict. It allowed the full assimilation of any white rapper.
being allowed to rap without culturally earning.
or being culturally a real part of hip hop culture.
