Hate to make the unnecessary comparison but he’s really becoming the DOOM of this generation
RIP to DOOM but he’s doing it a little cooler and less “nerdy” with all the comic and other shyt. Like Mach is still goon rap but still similar to the late great villain

I said this to a friend this weekend and he tried to play the offended role. It made me actually go into detail

International influences

The "classic" album with the introverted elusive producer

The dumb large catalog

The cryptic lyrics

Rare interviews

Rap villain personality

Did I mention he wears a mask and is obviously a Doom fan?

Just have to think of it as a transfer of universal energy moving from one vessel to another :to:

DOOM died on Halloween and it was announced to the world somewhere around 4-6pm eastern time on New Years Eve last year, only for Mach Hommy to be in discussion for MC of the year immediately after :lupe:

Second the Mach Playlist you can put together :wow:

I've had Mach playlists for going on a decade it feels like. More accurately, 5-7 years. I'm inept with the image hosting sites or I'd post some of the screenshots of the playlists. He's finally releasing some of the shyt to streaming sites lately, but unless you were really fukkin with his shyt you wouldn't even know the bulk of the songs some of us have been listening to for years. Which is how we get all the P4H references/Easter Eggs. Dude was way up there for me all time before P4H. The two albums this year and the Kaytranada single are victory lap status for a hood mystic underground culture king.

This might sound crazy but I actually don't find Doom less cool at all. Doom's popularity with the high brow crowd earned him a rep as some kind of dork ass CAC cult figure when in reality he honed his chops among the absolute royalty of Golden Era rap nikkas and did his fukkin thing as an alcoholic outcast tragic nikka with bonafide street connections and hood religion influences.
