I kno u M$ guy but besides battery life what else it is better?
Do u have a keyboard with ur surface?
SP4 is better then. I'd get the i5, 8gb, 256gb with the type cover.13

Surface is lighter, MORE powerful, more useful (Windows 10 >> Mac OSX), detachable keyboard (extremely useful), better screen (very bright), and just an overall better machine.
If your married to Mac OSX or absolutely hate Windows then you may prefer the MacBook, but the Surface Pro is superior in every way imho.
Surface Book is better than both though.

Supposedly there will be new MacBook Pros in March so if you can wait till then it will probably be for the best. That's what I'm doing.

What are you going to be using it for? If you're going to do some gaming on it surface. If you're just going to be surfing the web and using excel or some office productivity program, then neither. Save your dough and get something significantly cheaper than both.
