i dont see how its even a debate. master p clearly dropped the best 2 albums on no limit.

as far as "shell shocked" goes, thats not even mac's best album. the best mac album is "world war 3".

all these '98 albums being listed; i understand that '98 was their biggest year and all that, but in terms of album quality, it was their weakest year out of '96 thru '99.
only one with multiple releases thru that period who dropped their best album in '98 was c-murder and thats prolly it.

I remember I copped this shyt back in 98, nikka sounded different from the rest of the no limit nikkas. I didn't really understand bars and mic skills back then but as the years went on I understood he one of the most underrated southern emcees and would have been a problem he didnt get locked up.

I wasn't the biggest No Limit fan at the time but when I peeped this a few years back it was definitely one of my favorite albums from the label

It's definitely up there top 10 for sure but can't say it was the best hell it wasn't even the best album of that year they dropped that's not a knock on Mac but it's just so many good No Limit albums.

Fiend, C-Murder, Silkk, Bleed, Slim albums and to a lesser degree Kane & Abel, Mac, Magic and the IGTHU soundtrack were HARD AF in 98

Albums a bit overrated especially for a mac album his second is clearly his best most complete album

That's the album where you see why he was courted by def jam & also it would've been interesting to see him with a full budget & marketing towards him

But its alot of no limit albums better than shell shocked

Idk bout overrated, SS had bangers on top of bangers, but WW3 showed his full range, versatility and potential. And he exceeded at all types of shyt

If he wasn't so loyal to P he should have signed with Def Jam (later Def Jam South) or another label in 99/00. Maybe saved him from that fukked up club shooting too

Or imagine him over Mannie beats on CMR :wow:

Facts

I think a lot of people are quick to say its the best no limit album, because it has the best showcase of pure spitting/rapping on it. That's really its strongest selling point. It especially stands out because No Limit while having capable rappers, weren't known for really having spitters like that. So shyt was refreshing, but nah definitely not the best.
