Just be honest to me and tell me that you do not have a job. It wouldn't surprise me considering the economy.

I used to lie about it all the time when I was doing fraud.... but only because I obviously had money so I had to say the money was coming from somewhere... I think most of em assumed I was on some kind of hustle because obviously I was always very vague about work details... I had one business card saying i worked in import export and the other one saying i was a management consultant

I did have a serviced office with a number that i paid a monthly fee for...

I've been lying about my paper for over a year now...but it only works for me because I have a VERY small circle of people around me that don't interact with each other.

I'll stop doing it when I start a clean state and cut those contacts off. Personally, there's no reason for me to not lie about what I do or how much I'm making, it helps my rep that much more and it's not like I'm breaking off paper for any of these people/women anyway
