Sonically, it's completely understandable why some wouldn't like it. Synth sounds it's not everybody cup of tea. And even when he had the synth sound on his previous 2 albums there was a darker feel it. I ain't saying it's a pop album. I'm just saying "he's back" sonically is not totally accurate.
