He said he has 4 more interviews to do... I wonder which show's he's going to be on.

I'm guessing Sway is one for sure. Any word on if he'll be at Breakfast Club or Hot 97?

Lol it didn't go over my head...

" You're like, a contemporary museum of art, That farts"

Isn't good lyrics to me sorry, if that is dope to you, complex to you and the pinnacle of lyricism to you then so be it. but it's not to me. I know this is just 1 line but it's systematic of my issues with the lyrics on the album.
Keep shyt in perspective and in context with why he used that line though...

Since his arrival in 2006, music fans have always felt Lupe was too smart for his own good, and needed to“Dumb Down” his lyrics.
His satirical tone, and wordplay on “artsy fartsy” — a term used to criticize something for its pretentious nature, suggests he’s more than willing to “tear down the establishment”.
It should be noted that the contemporary art scene is well known for its “over the top pretentiousness”, and drug use.

You don't find it ironic that he's actually talking about people like YOU in that line?

Them bars nikka

The bars weren't impressive or dope to me at all, infact that's the main reason I can't feel the track. Because I really like the beat, infact Lupe's delivery is ok (at least better than some songs on the album) here for the most part and less akward, if I liked the bars I would liked this song. Hope there's instrumentals though as an instrumental version of the album I think I would enjoy more.

This is music, that is not a good line sorry. I know what he's trying to say but it isn't effective at all. If you have to find round about ways to defend the lyrics that isn't dope. Complex doesn't equal good, nor does simplistic equal good, effective equals good and it's not effective. It's mad corny. It's 1 of the worst lines I've ever heard. Lmao at satirical tone and wordplay lmao.. in that bar lol. I know what the phrase means. "It suggests he's wearing down the establishment" Lmao. People are going to make every wack line seem like it's Shakespeare lol. I find it ironic Lupe seems to be talking about himself because there's a lot of pretentiousness and pseudo-intellectualism within the lyrics and the whole album. People think something sounds complex so they rate it based off that rather than the actual quality of the bars. It's messy, it's very untidy, on so many songs it's jumping line to line and has no consistent theme or concept to even make a song, at times to even make a verse. It's frustrating as a listener because at times you feel he's going to touch on something substantive, that Dots & Lines shyt had potential to be dope.

:dead: at dude using THAT line of all lines. It wasn't a line to be lyrical it was his impersonation of people who don't get his bars.

You can't make this shyt up

Lmao, you're going to say any wack line on the album is an impersonation of people who don't get his bars? Lmao. That isn't the only example of wack lyrics he has, there's 100's.

Trust me, had it been anyone else that used that line, then it would've been the example
they used to say that rapper is overall a weak rapper but since it's Lupe :mjpls:

It says it right in the explanation YOU linked lol. U clearly trolling now tho so I'll let you rock

Missing the point, because you want to miss it. Regardless of what it is, it's a wack like. Making puzzle raps isn't dope, it has to be effective for the SONG, puzzle raps are extremely basic and simplistic masquerading as effectively complex. Many people could write puzzle raps, it's just word association at times, if it ain't touching the audience, if they're missing what you're saying or they are understanding it but aren't feeling it then you're not doing your job. Unless you're making music for your own personal amusement, which is absolutely fine but as it's commercial release it's going to get critiqued. People who are ultra Lupe fans will probably like the album, but I doubt the album is going to be hugely successful despite him being quite a famous artist, because it's only reaching a small and limited demographic that find it fun to decipher overcomplicated references online, basically like a crossword puzzle type shyt. I don't do crosswords, I like feeling in the lyrics, MC'in ability, deliver, authority in the raps. I like Lupe when he is talking about political or social issues and he sticks to a theme or concept which he is capable of doing. He completely loses me with the puzzle raps because it is so boring to me, I'm not the only 1 who feels this way. I'm actually not trolling at all, there's no need to, I like some of Lupe's songs and I know he has talent, that's the reason I checked the album, I at least thought there may be 1 or 2 songs I may like, but it isn't doing it for me. I'm not trying to rock, I'm not mad about people liking the album, I'm just replying to people quoting me at this point, I was just going to say my piece and go.

That's exactly what I am saying, just IMAGINE what this p*ssy boy @intilectual recipricol would have said if Nas used that line lmao. He would be talking about it for years, that would be his most used phrase in life if it had been Nas lol. He mentions a Nas line that isn't anywhere near as bad in comparison all the time.

He's just deeply upset and hurt his favourite rapper loves Nas....
