I think most of y'all are over thinking it. I do believe the concept of the album deals with birth and rebirth, but I believe it's also about transition and evolution (hence the seasons). I DO NOT believe the album is meant to be played backwards, but if y'all believe that then cool. What I DO believe, that Lupe, playing the character of Tetsuo, is talking about his OWN evolution as an emcee in the game as his life generation. And the movie Akira, Testuo started off innocent only to transition to become more darker as his power grew and became uncontrollable. It was be the end where he had his rebirth into something of a new level being (hence why TRON is the last song of the album). Lupe is simple showcasing his evolution as an artist from his humble beginnings of his "dumb it down" spazzing raps like in Mural to where he was during his The Cool period and Lasers to where he's at now adapting his style to the CURRENT sound out today (winter) to where he's going to be beyond that in the end. I believe the songs are allegorical to Christ and his own resurrection.

Hands down.

The best "interludes" I've ever heard.

Why has no one thought to make NON-LYRICAL interludes?

Think about it.

Everyone is either doing skits or talking about dumb shyt.

Lupe just gave nikkas something to cleanse that palette...and it was just so nourishing :noah:

Public Enemy used to do them all the time.

This nikka WENT OFF on Body of Work

Sanskrit dance on the page of the dead book
Don't leave the restroom with the left foot
Flags of Tibet, to bet, to bed, to death, flesh
Release the leash on a fast car
Feed on the keys, fall asleep in a Jaguar
The tip of thy sword is white
Am I night, am I black, am I light?
Have I been this?
Realize my begin when I find where my end this
Oedipus wrecks, motherfukker this better than sex :damn:
Material potion the love of my martyr
Currency soaked in the blood of my father
(Will you cry for me?)
Sky burial, at the wind carry your, father :mindblown:
That I could
An anatomy, not of me, kntting me to it, nodding me to it
Eyes of the eye and others, watching me do it
Adapt in each rubik
Kubrick in plot and tone
Lots of bones, scolds to the top of the tone
Skim through it is just skin to it
You're so thin you see the sin through it

:mindblown:

I've played backwards, it sounds just as good as it does playing it normally. One could argue that the flow is even better playing it starting from the end. I'm going to just make a separate playlist and name it Youth & Tetsuo... when I feel like starting from Spring, I'll start it from there, when I want to start from Summer, I'll start it there.

We all win

I haven't felt like an idiot listening to someone rap in a long time, but I'm going to have to sit and reflect with this album.
im sayin fam, i've been listening to this shyt like "this is what the human mind is capable of? :wow:"
FYI, is the red going over my head? I just heard that the first time like it is him demonstrating a weird mix, nothing more nothing less. Though still dope. :manny:.
that's all i got from it too

but watch sometime in the next few months it randomly clicks in your head and makes more sense :ohlawd:
