Okay, I'ma be honest....

When I first heard Lu on mixtapes I was blown away... nikka was like a rappin alien. F&L was a classic, it was what I expected from Lu lyrically and musically. The Cool was a slow burn for me, it was a classic that grew on me and when it was said and done I liked it better than F&L (and still do). Then there was LASERS which I think gets more hate than it deserves. Yes its poppy sounding, but the lyrics were still on point. I still put it in for a handful of songs. F&LII I liked--a lot. It was more of what I expected from Lu, but wasnt groundbreaking.

This shyt is like a mixture of when I was introduced to Lu via mixtape and The Cool. I am blown away and I think lyrically he's at his best. I aint gonna put it oer F&L & TC yet...................yet.

I'm feeling the same way :banderas:
It's like, with Lasers & F&L II I was able to pick the highlight tracks off the album easily when they initially dropped. They had some great songs sprinkled in but only a few that would go down as Lu classics. With F&L & The Cool the whole CDs are hot fiyah, I can't single out 5 songs as standouts on those, those 2 albums were full of highlights.

I'm getting that vibe from this :blessed:

and that was just on Mural... only part that aint classic is the damn banjo, and even that I feel was a trick to make me not want to like the track... but the track is so damn :mindblown:

Just because music comes from two eras doesn't mean they cant compare in terms of quality.

What I'm asking is do you think this is a quality effort like The Cool, or a classic album like F&L?

I think this album is the next evolution of The Cool. This is the album that everyone wanted to be the 3rd album. We all knew Lupe had the lyrics and song writing down but he needed a better sound. S1 & Dahi gave him his best canvas of beats yet.
