I believe that it under shipped. There's a lot of proof pics on Twitter and of you watch the interviews he did this wasn't even supposed to come out until Anonymous. No promo and the deliver video looked like something any of us could record.

With that being said..fukk sales. The man himself said he expected it and didn't care.

Atlantic really fukked up. There is money to be MADE off of this song. It's dope as hell and has the ability to appeal to a bigger audience than hiphop with the beat alone.

By the way, this album has single handedly made me fall in love with Nikki Jean

I just like to have the physical copy as well as the digital. But I'm thinking they probably only made about 30-35k of the physical cd to keep the expenses down and since the internet support is the reason why it's getting released maybe they said if it's gonna be successful itll be mostly because of the internet as an eff u to lupe and I was hoping this would do around 100k ppl I know that never effed with lupe are asking me to out them on to other lupe. And they purchased the album.

I mean damn, F&LII did almost 90K... and this is a much better product. F&LII sales were probably Lupe's base fans, period cuz there wasnt any promotion or happy commercial single. Straight up when Lasers came out I actually noticed random cacs lovin that shyt. It was on the playlist at fukkin TGIFridays. Plus F&LII was released on the sneak, even I didnt know till I happened to be at the store and picked up the all black case and realized it was Lu.

T&Y should have at least shipped what F&LII sold. Atlantic is just ass in every way possible...

I know perfection doesn't exist, but this album is as close to it as I've personally heard in hip hop. I acknowledge when Lupe slips up or when a song doesn't bring it. It just never happens here. He really made something special. So special that special feels like an understatement.

Dude took hip hop and black music in general to another level with this. I've listened to it 5 times now and every listen got better. Every listen produced new favorites and more :blessed: moments when I break down a new line or connect something to something else.

There's so many songs on here that's 5-9 minutes long, and yet none of them feel too long. In fact some of them joints feel a little too short - second part of prisoner, adoration of the magi and TRON all come to mind. The songs feel more like an event or a musical adventure than just a song with a few 16s, a hook and a beat. The little subtle additions like the ad libs from Lu, Troi's talking in between the bars on Body of Work, Guy Sebastian's harmonizing at the end of Blur My Hands, the saxophone and violin outtro BoW, how the bass drops at the perfect time in the beginning of chopper, the acapella rapping on mural where the beats come back in at the perfect moment, how the sound effects of the prison door closing during the Prisoner interlude going perfectly with the beat and Lupe's grunts, the sing songy parts of madonna.....everything brehs :wow:.

Masterpiece. I know people not gonna co-sign cuz I'm a known fanboy but the thing is I'm not the only one saying this shyt. nikkas who ain't check for dude since The Cool saying it too. My cousin who used to be a Tyga stan said it's a piece of art brehs.....she done came up on the taste game :sadbron:

Agreed and I always thought the cool was a little overrated at times. I've listened to this album constantly over the last week. Musically, lyrically, conceptually, everything is just pretty much perfect. Even the story surrounding its release is crazy. It will be a long time before we get another album this original.

Dooooooooooooooon't sign

The lyrics are so clever... I specifically think he's talking about 360 deals in this because of his history with Atlantic and because of the choice of words that he used throughout the song. The "go straight" in the hook, the whole sacred geometry theme and the second verse when he's droppin' the bars referencing degrees and circles.

It's a catchy ass song with a powerful message for a lot of up and coming artists that might go over the casual listener's head

:dwillhuh:360 deals? I've listened to this just to see if you are right and the song doesn't allude to this at all. The "don't sign" threw you off. It's "don't sine" as in sine wave:

The song's just about Sacred Geometry from what I can tell:yeshrug:

Now that we've pretty much got the gist of the album (or so we think lol) I can now bounce around to my favorite songs, but I always play the winter section all the way through.

I've been listening to this album the normal way because it's in my recently added playlist along with Wayne's s4tw2, but once it falls out of that I'll probably never listen to it that way again.

The first verse can be interpreted as not being fooled by the promises and everything that comes with a major label since he's on the other side of the blinds and sees what artists don't and remembering to stay true to yourself.

The three angels in kind = reference to the book of Revelation of the three angels message telling people to not receive the mark of the beast. A warning not to sign. Also a warning not to stray from the right path.

You could also see the in a line in a line and the repetition of that as looking at a contract.

That's three themes in one hook.

I didn't listen to any of the tracks before the album I had to rewind this three times.

You not the first person
The first person from your first cursin'
To your first cursive
And your curse words is in the curve version
It occurs virgin is the word version
That refers perfect to the first person
In the third verse, who's really me
In the third person but prefers the first one, that's me
Again
Master cleanse and a syringe
From a gerber until your first burger
Pamper to her depends
