Look man, everyone is entitled to their opinion but Lupe needs to read the room.

Him constantly weighing in on, and trying to throw his hat in, this Kendrick/Drake shyt would be like Ras Kass popping up during Jay/Nas on some "but what about me?"

Nobody cares about you right now my guy. Nobody is waiting for you. Play your position.

Fred.
He do need to cut that out…but if he was really smart he would use it for free promo and drop an album.

The control verse and Like that have :gladbron:-factor because of Kendrick dissing rappers, primarily Drake. You get rid of the disses and they're just good verses. Alot of Kendricks features recently have been like that honestly. His Family Ties verse highlight that gets everybody oooing and ahhhing is the "smokin on top 5s" part. Again the implication of Dot going at nikkas, primarily Drake, gets nikkas hype. The verse is a good verse otherwise but it's not an amazing verse. It's good.

The Heart series is where Kendrick shines as a rapper. Outside of that series it's rare that rap fans go crazy just off him rapping like Cole was doing prior to becoming JFold. Kendrick's verses are always good but the antennas don't go up unless there's a Drake shot that people can latch onto that boosts the verse up.
