Lupe is a better lyricist for sure. Kendrick has consistently made better songs. Lupe’s beat selection is pretty bad and has gotten worst every album after food and liquor. Lupe can rap circles around most MCs. Kendrick is more of a complete artist in my opinion.

Bro, he can't control who gets mad over what and who's trying to force feed who to who. I'm just going off strictly the quality of his music. I see why he gets the accolades because everybody I know, and myself, digs his music. Alot. And most people I know don't pay attention to The Complexes and Rolling Stones and shyt like that. They just like his music. And if he got that industry push...At least he makes damn good music. There's been artists that had that push that were straight horrible and he's not the first artist that had a big push and he damn sure won't be the last. And like you said, he just comes off as a genuinely cool and humble dude so cats root for him.
And in regards to the Top 10 thing, how can you not believe that a Top 10 list can be ever changing? Sure there will be names that will always be there but come on, bro. There's gonna be other MCs that will come along and show over a period of time that they should be in the conversation. For years I always told dudes that Biggie was the greatest rapper of all time but after years went by I had to reconsider because I took into consideration of the actual years he made rap music as opposed to other greats. Now I believe Nas is the GOAT. The list is ever changing. There might be a dude that comes out 5 years from now that may change the game and make dope music for years and be considered a great of all time. The list can be amended. Not saying Kendrick should be in a definitive Top 10 list but I think he's at the point...or near the point...where he can be in the conversation.

Alot of people on here bring that up. The main reason that you don't hear shyt about that is because Biggie was fukking incredible. Biggie was put on this Earth as a Hip Hop gift from God. The dude few years of rapping was so damn good nobody gives a fukk that he's still listed in most peoples Top Ten.
