I hate this shyt right here. Need a piece of paper to make you "official". The 's "higher" education is helpful but that shouldn't make or break you. Especially with the internet now. There's nothing holding you back to be a "master" mathematician, scientist, historian, English teacher etc right at your home and library.

As I see it, if you show n prove you got the skills to handle said job, then you are qualified. People who never went to college are smarter than a lot of these teachers yet they can't be teachers until they get that paper certifying them.

how can I shift the debate internally if I have no way to apply pressure? last I checked there wasn't a way to vote for Obama while at the same time letting him know what I'm not pleased with. this is an issue with our 'democratic republic', and it becomes compounded when you only have 2 choices to make

Ok, so you are saying that at the end of the day. If it came down to voting Obama(w/o college experience but knew and stood for everything that he's standing for now)and say Bush with the college degree, you would vote bush. This is what what you're saying.

That neither helps the situation here. Like I addressed before ...we know cacs vote for other cacs b/c of their race, it's hypocritical for us to do the same thing wither it's mayor, governor, senate or president. Time for Blacks to focus on their community and the leaders who do for their community...not some guy who pops up out of nowhere claiming to be Superman for the Black Community and sings Al Green songs to put you into a trace for voting for him.

I think the black community in general has to face a reality that a black president can't do much to anything specific for the black community other than focus on job training, educating the poorer areas of the united states. However in reality something like that will help the entire united states not just the black community.

There is no one cure fix all for the black community if there is I sure would like to hear it, but just like you said more can be done by focusing on local and state elections. When the black community places so much on a black president that he or she should do this or that for the black community, thats just not reality. The president has to be president for every one.
