I'm so sick of mfers talking bout ATL's offense like ours is just trash. We have the 2nd best offense behind them
Actually NO is a better offense than y'all and our offense has a chance to be remembered as the GOAT offense. No one will remember this Pats offense as an all time great offense if y'all win
Dwight Freeney still playing in the NFL.
That is a name I haven't heard in a long time.
He can still put pressure on the QB(8 sacks last year, only 3 this year but he's got a lot of pressures).
Situational pass rushers have a long shelf life in the NFL
They don't have a guy that's physical enough to stay with julio 1 on 1.....so it's either double team and let the other receivers eat.....or play man-to-man and julio will get his anyway. Plus they have to worry about the running backs..
It's probably going to be like most good Super Bowls......close to the end.
Then we wont care what we were remembered asActually NO is a better offense than y'all and our offense has a chance to be remembered as the GOAT offense. No one will remember this Pats offense as an all time great offense if y'all win
Honestly, I don't think it'll be close.
I made an argument for the Pats with @AVXL but he was right in one aspect everyone's fall back is Beli's gonna pull something out of his hat because he's Beli the genius. There's too much offensive talent to deal with and too many mismatches. The Rams/Colts had smaller skill players that the Pats could overpower by being physical. The Steelers had offensive talent, but Ben ain't been shyt this year. Julio, Sanu, Gabriel, Freeman, Coleman and Matt's been on target most of the season.
The media's been weirdly building a case for the Pats around the "scheme" they're gonna run without considering the one on one matchups within the scheme that are talent based. If this is a track meet, which it will be, then the falcons will win. Taking away Julio leaves everyone else in a ridiculously favorable matchup talent wise. They could literally run 2 verticals and force a matchup where ninkovich is one on one with Freeman/Coleman.
They don't need "explosive" plays like they're writing. They just need to exploit their obvious advantages. Quinn is smart enough to make sure Shanny does that.
Then we wont care what we were remembered as
Falcons fans have lived up to the hype. Friends in New Orleans warned me about you. Haven't disappointed at all.

All that shyt poppin and yall still outside the clubat making friends with whoadies, id be embarrassed to admit that

It feels like a political exercise, do you trust experience (NE) over the "outsider" (ATL)? I was joking when I said people cape for Beli like he's Batman always talking about "give him prep time", but that's really how I feel. Schematics can only take you so far...if you don't have the speed or athleticism to stop a team you can't win. If I said name the top 5 players on the field, I could argue that 4 of them are Falcons. And for all of the "the Patriots will figure them out" has anybody thought about how maybe, just maybe, the Falcons will figure NE out? Dan Quinn is gonna be in his 3rd Super Bowl in 4 years, one of them against NE. Shanny is directing a top 10 GOAT offense. I just feel like we have significant mismatches that aren't being talked about because NE is the standard bearer
Super Bowl runner ups sounds good to me
The Pats have a chance, but their margin for error is so slim it's ridiculous. This place is the only spot where I feel like we think they Falcons should be the favorites. I've seen media pundits pumping their offensive game against the Steelers D, but ignoring that their defense literally did not guard Hogan. That's not a joke. They just let him run free for no reason. Their DB coach should've been fired at the half. The Falcons won't let that happen and the other thing the Pats have been doing on offense is getting Lewis/White into athletic mismatches against LB's, but ATL's entire defense is athletic enough that it won't be an issue.......also, they're a 4-3 which is definitely tougher to run on than a 3-4 yet "analysts" still feel comfy writing these types of articles - http://deadspin.com/the-falcons-defense-is-basically-fukked-1791967440 - which is probably the worst break down of a defense I've ever seen where he's using regular season stats to justify an argument against a defense that's played ridiculously better in the playoffs. Aaron was fukking unstoppable and y'all D shut him down. Brady choked up against Houston and Pittsburgh literally didn't cover a guy the entire game. If you're looking at it objectively the hill for the Pats to climb is significantly higher than the one ATL would need to win.
I see it this way. If Atlanta gets up 2 possessions that's game because Quinn isn't gonna let his foot off the gas like Pete did against the Pats. If the Pats get up 2 possessions ATL could still come back and win.
ATL - 31
Pats - 17
