Honestly, I don't read the comics, but I stopped watching the Netflix show because within the first two episodes they portrayed the black people against gentrification as bullies who have nefarious motives, and had Luke Cage protecting the hardworking non-blacks from their reign of terror on the neighborhood. It just left a bad taste in my mouth.

You can post other examples of comic book characters doing embarrassing things but luke cage has to be top 5 most embrassing black heroes. Luke is like one of those broke dusty black dudes who rock outdated urban apparel and mess with/simp unattractive white women. He definitely lives up to the bedbuck c00nin' stereotype.
so now we are judging black superheroes by their money, clothes, and who they sleep with????

The dialog is just as bad by a lot of Indy black writers, as well. Read that Black or Black AF. And when I was reading All-Negro comics, that ish was horrid.

It is very difficult to display accents on panel. And a lot of writers don't take in consideration that accents don't have to be as pronounced, because the reader will give them their own voice and dialect.

Yeah i hate this shyt, sometimes they will phonetically spell the vernacular of the black characters. Like "yes'mm imma go o'er there and be right back ev'rybody."
I'm like why don't they don't do this with the white characters? They never have cyclops say "me n sam'll go'n ahead." even though they sound like that in real life too.

I mean character can be written any type of way and be good even this class of perfect characters is just limited to your knowledge and i interpreration ala merely an opinion. There are thousands that arent perfect and not black and being black isnt a flaw so what youre saying doesnt make any sense.
