Luka dropped 45 points on 62 percent true shooting and it doesn't matter

I don't know if that's right.

When Booker was getting that heat, the Suns were going absolutely nowhere. Luka's been in the playoffs the last three or four seasons.

I'll say this, Suns had an exponentially worse team than Luka did.

I definitely think in a vacuum when it comes to scoring and passing Luka is better, but not a difference from the point you can win a ring with one but not the other.

I think paired with good players of similar level they can both get it done.

shyt, like I mentioned in the game thread a Luka/Booker combo would be incredible. Plenty of symmetry there. Throw in Ayton and that's approaching a dynasty of their own.

But lebron had other stars around him tho

Wade, Bosh, Kyrie, Love and AD

Exactly.

It's funny people want to talk offensive hub/heliocentric players vs two way scorers and say one is better than the other, but they're two sides to the same coin.

If you want a team to compete, you should look to add both on your team to win. Especially if that scorer can play off-ball in catch and shoot situations: anybody can play with somebody who can be an effective catch and shoot option.

LeBron is 6'9, one of sports' elites when it comes to athleticism and a terrific BBIQ but his heliocentric play never worked solo. Stacked numbers, but fell short every year until you paired him with Wade, Kyrie and AD: three two way scorers/defenders.

shyt, come to think of it we've seen teams win with only two-way players and no heliocentric players. Not the only example, but kind of like the Bucks: Middleton, Giannis and Holiday are closer to two way scorers/defenders and even they run a motion offense.

Bottom line, you can try to win with that one-man-team heliocentric basketball but it'll never be as reliable as something like this:

Celtics should take note. Let Giannis go bonkers. But keep the supporting cast in check
This is what I have been telling my nikkas lol still make it tough for giannis and have strong defenders on him but you can't let Bobby, Grayson, and Jrue have a field day out there And limit their fastbreak opportunities. but idk how celtics gonna score when the bucks got a modern day version of the twin towers in brook and giannis and another giant 6’10 250lb dude in bobby:francis:

Celtics shot just 10-34 on two-point shots in the game, including 1-15 on two-pointers where Giannis or Lopez challenged the shot. Their inability to score inside on those guys was a HUGE reason why their were limited offensively.

When was the last time an NBA team only made 10 two-point shots in an entire game?

(Just checked - it had never before occurred in Celtic history, their previous low was 14 two-pointers. It's only occurred once in NBA postseason history, on that '17 Rockets team in the game Harden completely tanked and they wasn't even trying to shoot two-pointers anyway.)

All the American cacs are hoping for Luka x Jokic. Only for one single reason, we all know that it has nothing to do with sports. It’s crazy that American cacs can try to make us hate on two brehs from a million miles from here, who probably relate to us more than them. I hope they’re joined by superstars next year.

No matter how this shyt plays out, those brehs are generational talent. They learned the game differently and play it differently. Just like Giannis, not so much Embiid but he’s just different too — even if he didn’t learn it differently.

Mavs are an automatic contender if you pair Luka with someone like Booker or even Lavine

Luka heliocentric offense seems to be out of necessity if anything. If you followed his real Madrid days he played a lot of off ball when he had other stars on his team

Also heliocentric offense can and has worked multiple times in history sometimes to win a ring(Hakeem, Dirk, Tim, LeBron in 2018 to get to the finals, and 2018 harden almost:francis: For a couple of examples )you just need Off-ball shooters, defenders, and a good secondary shot creator and a legit unstoppable scorer
