After all of the talk about the NBA having no stars under 30 who will take the throne from LeBron and Steph, the Luka to the Lakers completely changed that dynamics. Everyone was focused on American stars under 30, but it will be the Euro Luka who will be the face of the NBA. Adam Silver is happy that the NBA has his next White Face like Larry Bird for fans to root for.

Once you add in the LeBron co-sign, Luka will elevate to Superstar status. Luka and Wemby in the same conference will be the NBA's Magic vs. Bird of the 2020's. Luka is going to run up the ratings like Caitlyn Clark.

Luka's profile is certainly up a notch, going from Dallas to Los Angeles.

That said, the coli has been quite vocal in the post-Kobe years that nothing matters unless you win. This is the pretext for most of the frustration and hate for LeBron and Anthony Davis the past few years.

So if Luka isn't delivering championships, you expect he will see the same treatment. And if Luka is playing in Los Angeles under those conditions, it's hard to imagine him as the face of the league.

He's got his work cut out for him.
