No one said he was 270 now. He came into camp around that weight. A point guard having to play himself into shape is something only a certain kind of athlete is allowed to do :mjpls:

When have you see him “getting better?” He’s been the same player the past 3 years, if not longer than that. He’s blown up to 270, gotten worse on defense, and can’t stay on the floor. He hasn’t added anything new to his game.

The best argument here is strictly business; Luka kept people in the seats. Basketball wise, I can see why you’d do it. Belicheck rule: rather get rid of someone a year early rather than a year late.

He’s generational, but he’s peaked. He’s also temperamental and could’ve tried to force himself out down the line. I’m not the biggest AD but I can see the fit with Kyrie.
You lie so damn much you can't keep track of them all.

And before you try to cover up your lie with another lie saying you were talking about him being 270lbs (when he went into camp) in your inital post -

And that's cool if you had the same energy for Shaq, then I should hope you carry the same energy for Luka.

But there's no risk involved for a franchise attaching themselves to players of that caliber. They're generational, and they've proved it. Conditioning can be a voiced concern, but if we're talking about how it relates to other players, who aren't on that level, then how could you possibly keep the same energy with them, let alone expect anyone else to?

Zion's injuries and conditioning have been a detriment to the Pels, whereas barring an actual championship, Luka has acheived and done everything for the Mavs.

It just isn't the same.
I’m of the belief regardless of your output if you’re doing things that could come back to bite you it needs to be called out

I’ve never said I agreed with Dallas trading him especially for what they got. I just have a problem when we make certain people above criticism :yeshrug:

At the end of the day trade Is done. Time will tell. I think most sane people(including me) are hoping Dallas is wrong as Luka is a dope player

Luka deserves criticism, like every single other player, but this bullshyt about his conditioning, lack thereof, is just that.

Cats are falling for the okey doke.

He played a total of 3524 minutes last season (more than any other player), all the while playing at an elite level throughout the regular season and the playoffs. You know what he did after the NBA season was finished? He went and played Olympic qualifying games for his country. He's one of a very few NBA hoopers who doesn't really have an offseason (not in the traditional sense). He then went into training camp the same size he typically is.

Does that sound like someone who has these serious conditioning issues like the Mavs are leading us to believe, or are they just making up shyt to cover their ass?

Like I been saying - his issues stem from the fact he needs to just have some proper downtime from hoops and not overwork his body, year in, year out. He's played professional hoops all year round since he was like 16/17. That can't be good for anyone. Markieff Morris already gave us the lowdown on how he's one of a few players he's known over the 15 years he's been in the league that he'll just play through any injury, if it means he can get out on the floor.

It's that he takes basketball too seriously is his problem. His body is fighting against it.

shyt is wildly disrespectful of the Mavs to put that shyt out there after the way he's busted his ass for them for the last half a decade.

Only thing that would make sense is that he's a true alcoholic.

and that Dallas couldn't deal with it anymore and used the fat excuse to hide it.

a few years ago Mavs had to do damage control over this photo and said it wasn't taken before a game.

and then a couple years later ..
