F*ck it, #TeamNico :salute:

As long as they ain't playing the Clipps I'm pulling for them just because all the backlash and crying over Boy Wonder Bread. Of course NOW Luka will put the brew and hookah down and slim down, but evidently this was far from the case in Dallas. Nico said f*ck everybody and did the damn thang. That took a lot of balls :ehh:

He’s such a fsggot . The warriors window is closed he has nothing to argue about now he’s starting to get involved in the stan wars bringing up Kobe . Such a shameless fakkit . He has no relevance left on this board .
I didn't bring up Kobe, you silly ass cracka.

@verbaltelekinesis brought him up and I debunked what he said. If anyone is shameless, it's y'all Kobe stans who have to force him into the conversation at every turn. Y'all are only telling on yourselves for not being able to discuss the game without desperately hanging onto the past. I can just see it now, the moment that Luka gets any praise on a historical level playing on the Lakers, y'all will downplay it just to protect Kobe.

It's not making a 1v1 comparison.

It's pointing out that if a player doesn't have the right complementary cast, they're not going to win shyt. Despite cats in here trying to glorfiy this shyt about Kobe working on his weaknesses and all this other empty comicbook hero rhetoric, he was still victim to what he was surrounded by. The Mavs issues in the Finals were that nobody besides Luka could score consistently, and not this bullshyt about his defense being at fault.

Even if he played better defense to what folks think he should be doing, the Celtics still run through the Mavs just the same. Nothing would've changed.

Can you explain to me how this adds weight to what you're arguing and not mine, considering I'm pointing out that Kobe needed the right support cast to win? Can you explain to me how this counters the point surrounding the fact that the Lakers were 1st round exit status before they got their team right, even despite Kobe's efforts?

Better yet, would a prime Kobe on last year's Mavs team beat the Celtics?

You brought it up a few times. Of course Jordan and Kobe both win.

The single game mavs won Luka operated in the post and Kyrie attacked from the perimeter. Luka was hitting cutters and everyone else. Then Luka did Luka Ball on the perimeter next game with folks standing around. Jordan and Kobe would have no problem operating out of the post all series and both could move without the ball pretty damn good as well. Then factor in Kobe and Jordan being better defenders you still have room for error.

Neither of them would beat the Celtics, and it's ridiculous to even entertain the possibility that they would.

Not necessarily because of what they lacked in ability, but because of how historically great Boston's defense is (especially on guards) and how they'd strangle the life out of the Mavs support cast. Luka is definitively a greater playmaker than MJ and Kobe, and even he couldn't even get his teammates going because of what Boston was doing on defense.

They were running main lineups with elite defenders from 1-5.

Both MJ and Kobe would have a harder time scoring against the Celtics squad too because they don't have Luka's combination of size and height. They'd still get theirs, but they'd be exhausted to the point where they wouldn't have energy to do anything else. You really need size to beat that Celtics team, and neither MJ nor Kobe had that to their advantage.

- "The relationship between Nico Harrison and Luka"
- "Luka is an unbelievable talent which is obvious. But his lack of discipline with his fitness really wore on the Mavericks organization. Nico was very high on that list, but by no means alone in that"
- "When Luka sprained his calf on Christmas Day, there wasn't a big chunk of sympathy for the situation. It was more like well this is what happens when you don't care about conditioning or dieting"
- "There was 4 strains on 1 calf in 3 years, a chronic problem. Then after that he missed all camp, all preseason, and wasn't taking care of his body"
- "Luka can average great stats and play like crap, that's how talented he is. But he was playing around 260 pounds"
- "And now they are thinking, oh wait, we are going to give this guy a $345 mill commitment this summer. There was a fear this would be another Joel Embiid situation. A guy that is on a Supermax and not on the floor very often"

Mavericks Organization put their foot down I guess:manny::wow:

And despite all that, he played the most minutes in the league including the playoffs, with no fall off. So much for that.

McMahon carrying Mavs water is nasty work.

They were 19-11 when luka got hurt. Youd think they were the sixers the way theyre framing this.

There’s some that believe the Adelsons fall back plan if their plan to get gambling legalized fails is to try to move the team to Vegas. And if you make moves to alienate the fanbase it helps that

But I have a very very hard time believing the NBA would let a team leave the 4th or 5th biggest market in the country

The long term play they’re gunning for is getting gambling legalized in Texas and building a mega casino in the Dallas area with an arena for the Mavs part of it

They do not give a shyt about the Mavs success on the court really, they are an investment piece for a bigger picture to them

A lot of owners don't even care if they win or not, they do care about money tho

There is no way to juelz this trade out for the Mavs.

They went to the finals, winning 3 series in the west all without the home court advantage. I repeat, without the home court advantage. And it was mainly thanks to Luka and Kyrie. Why the fukk would you disrupt that core? Because all time great Celtics punked their asses in the finals? Reminds me of OKC Thunder back in 2012 when they traded away James Harden, cause they didn't wanna pay him and weren't too happy with their finals performance....they are yet to make another finals appearance since then.

This is what MAGA organizations do all over America, making dumbass radical decisions cause they are stupid as fukk. Willing to donate Mango Mussolini 100mil but too cheap to pay their money making machine in Dallas :mjlol: I feel sorry for the fans who have to suffer such inept team ownerships.

Yeah, I mean who the fukk is Nico Harrison...he's a nobody, there are thousands and thousands of Nico Harrison's that you can hire. There are about 5 basketball players on earth at Luka Doncic level.

And the dumbest thing about this whole situation is how they are saying "well after couple seasons Mavs could just go into rebuild mode" they said that like it's something to be happy about :mjlol: when several teams tank season after season wishing they could have a player like Luka Doncic on their team...and they traded him just so they could start looking for a new Luka couple years from now. What a bunch of idiots.

Lakers are about to sell their jerseys all over the Europe like they're Real Madrid or Barcelona lol.

Yup this is like having a prime Bron, Ronaldo, Messi, Gretzky, bonds, etc. you do whatever you can to appease

Except one player means so much more in basketball than any other sport.

I'd have fired everyone and traded anyone who had a problem with Luka before even trading Luka

SMF and LAX to VA and NC
Sitting on this for a few days, I'm pretty confident both teams win a championship. I've watched some clips of AD on the jet with Dallas, this mf is supremely motivated. He's been great the last 2 years, he's about to throw this shyt back to 2020 here soon, the best version of himself...

Luka is in LA, every franchise player that this organization has ever had in 46 years of Buss family ownership, won a championship. I also think the slights about his conditioning and defense from Nico are about to motivate the best version od Luka to come...

Neither of these are basketball reasons, od course. On the basketball side, both teams need to fill these rosters out around the cornerstones, obviously...

But I think it's a win-win, both guys will bring a title to their new homes...
