We hemorrhaged so many picks in the process of acquiring Luka and Kristaps, we just watched Indiana snag Brogdon and couldn't do anything about it.
That shyt hurt. Idk why they didn't give Bev $40-45/3yr. We have gobs of cap space and only 3 years means that deal is during Luka's rookie contract. Plus any contract is moveable in today's NBA once it reaches the last year. Teams love them some expirings.
Not getting Beverley is inexcusable. He's prob the best backcourt partner for Luka. This front office sucks at FA.
Good work on the Kristaps max.
Excellent, cheap Dwight extension. We got him for next 4 years for $11mil a year, super cheap for that position and what he does. 30mpg starter.
Curry for $32mil/4yr is straight. Not awful, not a heist, either. Good shooting but he's going to be a sieve on defense.
Kleber for $35mil/4yr is an overpay, imo. I get he's a solid defender and can shoot, but he's a flabby rotational piece. Meh. This reeks of organizational loyalty and one of Garrett's "plays the game the right way" type of shyt.
Dorian Finney-Smith at $12mil/3yr is straight robbery. I guess playing in Dallas had him flying under the radar. I thought he was going to get $6-8mil AAV. Length, motor, defense, intensity for loose balls and dirty work. Breh is Great Value Ariza. $4mil for his prime years is incredible value. He's legit 25mpg player giving you great wing defense, effort, and his 3pt shooting should improve. My favorite move so far.
Boban is whatever. I kinda like it if he's flippable at the deadline to a contender seeking size. Hoping we got him just to flip for assets when the time comes.
Never expected Kemba to come. fukk these guys for sitting on their asses in regards to PatBev. Brogdon was the guy I wanted the most but we have no assets.
We going to overpay for 32 year old Danny Green. Like $12-15mil per.
Low-key wanted Oubre the whole time, n/h. Moreso now since our wing situation sucks. Looks like PHX just cleared space to resign him, though.
If KP is healthy, I think think this could be a 50 win team this year.
Only silver lining is no deals given out go beyond Luka's rookie deal. All the deals we gave out are tradeable. There's no Dampier or Haywood or Matthews or Barnes this time around. Thank God.
