yeah. i feel sorry for gus but when i think about how for the first part of the season they had only known each other for a month, i can see why mickey is ambivalent about him. it explains all the shyt she did (not that it was right).


one month or a few weeks into a flirty "relationship" and they both slept with different people. i don't think every woman would hate the type of guy gus is. the nice guy thing isn't bad, but trying to fix someone you just met two weeks ago is condescending and pushy. but at least gus is nice about it, i guess. But Gus is trying to go after a girl who is the complete opposite of what would make him happy. A former church going, nice guy from the midwest doesn't have any business with a strung out woman who sleeps around and hates herself. He's asking for misery, but he's blind to this because Mickey is "pretty". His vanity is defeating his common sense. Someone like Bertie would be great for him.

I agree. Gus shold be with bertie. they would be a perfect fit. But mickey's crazy ass would sabotage that.

I don't know if I like or hate this show but I watch it so it must be doing something right.

I hate the protagonists so much. Mickey is a butch and has no redeeming qualities.

I find these characters a lot more redeeming than the hoes on girls at least. And both shows are produced by Judd apatow. Gus isn't a true simp, Cuzz he will stand up to Mickey when she starts getting too out of pocket.
