What point did I prove? That because gays (who are not a race) aren't discriminated against as much as the Black race (even though Black gays obviously have it much harder than straight Black people,) they don't get affected by the same kinds of issues? Nobody said gays have it worse than or as bad as Black people. The original argument was that Black people and gay people share common concerns, enough to form political alliances and work towards ending common problems.

You came in and said gay people have it better than straight people. I showed you stats that proved that wasn't true, meaning gay people are indeed disadvantaged.

Gay men don't have a stronger network than Black men. Gay men's networks are not made stronger for being gay, especially if they aren't white. A gay Black man will get treated poorly by gay whites AND by straight Blacks. How are they supposed to have a stronger network?

The issues are shared. We all share these- being able to have a roof over our heads, have access to decent jobs, not face economic discrimination, getting proper healthcare, and poverty initiatives- all of which they struggle with because people treat them differently due to their identity, just like Black folks. It doesn't matter if they face less discrimination than Black folks- they face it, and all those things I listed are obviously common to both groups.

So Black men's issues are all family related? Gay Black men have the unique struggle of being treated like shyt and excluded by their own people just for their sexual orientation. Just look at this thread and others in this forum.

The reason racism against Blacks is extreme is because it translates into actual institutional problems- economic discrimination, lack of access to basic services like healthcare and housing, difficulty finding a job and in the workplace, and discrimination with respect to the police and prisons. Gay people also suffer from economic discrimination, lack of access to healthcare and housing, and workplace-related discrimination. Those are absolutely common problems. It doesn't matter if Black people experience them with greater intensity than gay people.

"White privilege" doesn't translate into having the rest of your identity not count. "White privilege" didn't stop Black men from being able to vote a half century before white women could. White skin makes it easier, obviously, but it doesn't stop you from being shunned by other white people or other elements of mainstream society for being gay.

And no, you don't concern yourself with Black people problems, not completely, or you'd want a united Black community, including Black gays. Instead, you keep associating gays with white people, as if gay whites are the only ones, while Black people continue to ostracize Black gays.

Its sad that gays are voicing their anger against a religion that chatergorizes their lifestyle as an abomination, but the reality of the situation is that many people share similar sentiments worldwide. Just because most Americans have been successfully brainwashed by Hollywood to consider homosexuality "normal" doesn't mean that is the case worldwide.

This country was created based on the principles of the bible. YES there is no DIRECT REFERENCE TO THE BIBLE in the constitutions, however our code of laws were undoubtedly influenced by the code of ethics found in the bible, (i.e. sodomy being illegal, adultery being appropriate grounds for divorce, murder being illegal, etc...), despite the fact there is an official separation of church and state. Our system of laws were created in the way that they were because our way of life essentially was heavily influenced from the same source, the christian bible. That being said, Christianity is by far the largest religion practiced in America currently, therefore there are MANY MILLIONS of Americans that share its sentiments.

Now i know many of you all intelligent liberals consider these people "stupid" or "uneducated", but the fact of the matter is these people make up a substantial part of the American population, and aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

Now whether you consider yourself an atheist of not, the above is an undeniable fact. Therefore, why are mother fukkers so surprised that since we have a large portion of people in this country that consider themselves Christians (or followers of any major religion for that matter), we also therefore have a large portion of the country that considers homosexuality an abomination? Like it or not, this method of thinking won't change for a while, because it is ingrained in our culture.

Unlike you "tolerant liberals" i can understand where Louie Gohmert is coming from. People should be allowed to practice their religion even if if offends others. As long as no one is getting hurt, who gives a fukk?
